thanks all. Basically a real mixture of materials but lots of water and just building up areas gradually. I would paint to this scale and these surfaces everytime if i could-so much more interesting to go big and to use a textured surface rather than just canvas

Wow, that is one awesome wall. I want to paint on a wall now! How do you manage to blend colors so well, do they stay wet? Or is it just a lot of mixing paint and kinda crosshatching?
