This is a villain for a story I'm writing, 'EXTINCTION'.

In the days before the meteor strike and the Oblivion, Switchblade went by a different name, a name that has since then been lost in the sands of time. He served the race of lizard-like Peridots as their leader and prophet. He was considered to be a great fighting genius and brilliant strategist, always besting his opponents in battle.

When the Oblivion first attacked, the titan Até shattered his body into four pieces, each representing an attribute that would help defeat the Oblivion. He added his power of cunning to the Peridot prophet's, so the ancient warrior could assist in pushing the hoarde back into the crater. During the battle, however, he was one of many corrupted by the evil shadow of the Oblivion.

He became known as Switchblade, Terror of the Peridots. Despite the fact that none of them were corrupted themselves, the Peridots continued to follow their leader after he had transformed and turned to a life of evil. Eventually, a group of brave warriors managed to defeat Switchblade and seal him away, deep in the Peridot jungles... complete with the shattered piece of the Titan that he held.

The remaining Peridots still honor their fallen leader, keeping a shrine around his tomb. The Titan cannot be reassembled if the four terrors are not awoken and defeated, and a prophecy in Tregot states that a hero will someday retrieve the four pieces and bring balance back to their collapsing world.
