R. You should know by now I make insanely huge comments. I apologize if you hate reading descriptions. Scroll down method works too or just scribbling on the colors.Image specs, thumbnail and actual image done up in pencil, alterations in Photoshop, lines in Sai, Colors in Photoshop. DISMISSED!
It's Zen~ 's little...Autobot girl. Though in general I would like to think it's also for since they both fiddled with her design, which can be seen here: [link]
Ah, what do I say besides... So. Much. PINK.
Not looking forward to doing up Arcee or Elita 1 whenever that happens (ok, maybe...I likes them). Luckily a lot of my OC Tfs do not have pink, same can be said for most of the canon dude TFs. Though, I guess other OCs with pink...ffffffffffffffffffff. Oh if I ever do commissions...I fear the pink. Everywhere.
Originally just a little durpy sketch that I got the idea for, I guess also a play with perspective? And of course, late B-day present I guess as well. I sure do have a few of those to mess with...UGH. This probably wouldn't have taken so long but considering the amount of work put into the lines, colors, and rendering...WELL...bleh. Also the summer bug that eats away at my soul and makes me want to lay around and pretend i'm dead.
I hope these colors work, Sir! Or i'll kill myself. :I
Ok not really.
So, my usual blurbles of how this is more fiddling with lines, perspective, and colors, joy! I tried a few new things with it, as I learn through my usual trial and error attempts. I could go on a tangent about what parts bug me a lot and where I feel I 'slagged' it all up but i'll save all of you the pain and suffering. And yes, i'm being serious.
Also, BRUSHES! I love them. SO MUCH. They add this flare to images, and since I am still attempting to deal with actual BGs, well...
Then again, the last few images were just 'pinup' sorta things anyway...I guess I really should do something with an ACTUAL BG.

Also, I didn't know where Zen's Autobot insignia is, so, I used some artistic licensing. I hope it's not, uh...that bad? I mean, how many bots end up having them in...places anyway...hurhur...caff. Now I can...WORK ON ANGRY WOMAN (Ravenwing Ref oh yeah). After I sketch...because I need too get something out or die.

You did a fantastic job with the coloring and she looks so neat. I noticed you mentioned possibly doing some Autobot femmes. I definitely am putting in my vote for you trying that some time. Sexy girl robots for the win!

I did, and hope too. I honestly see a large lack of them compared to a huge number of other things, and quite frankly, I love the femmebots/shebots/etc a lot so, LOL. Just trying to get my doodle groove going. It's mostly my lack of focus now, but they'd be something i'd play with as far as designs go for my own personal project of my own interpretations of the characters.

I really need too. I probably have said that more than once many times actually, lol...but my plan is to do it, and draw a ton of them, so I just need to get my head back in the game. I blame life being kinda wacky right not affecting me negatively, bleh.

I already complimented you on the way you did her open optic and the cell shading and high lighting, so now I shall compliment you on the dynamic pose and the linework.

Purple, black, gray, red, white seem to be my major faves. Though I love all kinds of colors, neutrals seem to work best for me though.

Thou the TFA StarScream would have looked better with a different colors cause that dark pinkish color sure doesn't fit him they should have given him a dark red and blue like his G1 counter part

she's a zen stone mp3 player eh? my wife has one of those. they're nifty little media players... the speaker is pretty decent on it.

also... you know by now i'm all about the long comments to. aaaaanyways...
yeah. pink. lots of it. but that zen stone is a lot of pink so it makes lots of sense. bfml and lynxia have such a fun design going on for her (i always tend to like patty's designs actually). i like that it looks like you took some liberties to make her "clothes" look a little more loose and flowing. it's different for a tf. the headphones are awesome! XD the placement of the play and pause buttons... hurhur... totally not going there. XD (but why do i wanna press one???)

have i ever mentioned you kickass at eyes? well... if not... btw... you kick ass at drawing tf eyes! they're always quite expressive and somewhat tfa influenced (but ... like...way better).

And yes they do, hehehe- and agreed! I like her designs she makes very much! And lol, well, as far as the skirt is concerned, I tried to make it look like it was segmented, so when she jumped, the segments would come part, since, well, it was the only way I could get the metal to work in my head that way at that angle. ><; AND LOL, i'm sure there are others who probably wouldn't mind pushing them, hahaha. I kinda wish I put the 'pause' ones a little more centered, but bleh...will be all right.
And lol, was a bit of fan service there with that. I'm terrible. :C
Optics/eyes/whatever you want to call them, I love them. So much. Basically started out more TFAish, but as time went on, they started getting more of a realistic flare I guess. I blame how I love the eyes from eastern/western style animation...especially anime, and probably where a lot of the influence is from. Back when I all ways tried to get them to look how I wanted but they never wanted to deal with me, til now. They all ways look so pensive or striking before I do the inks, as I have the pupils really showing in the sketches. I put a lot of expression in the eyes, makes me nutty when I look back at some things and it's hard to read because of the lack of, well, emotion.

it's easy to tell that you like drawing eyes... and expression. which is great cause like i said, you are great at it! i like the hybrid style you've come to especially. it's something you don't see in any tf art... at least none that i've seen. so it makes your style pretty darn unique which is so hard to find with most tf art anyway.

Which...is probably why I like it, I think it adds a touch of hilarity and then some, uh, well, ya know. I think now a days I kinda like it with this subject matter, probably only because I rarely see it, even in fanart. LOL
And is it? Hehehe...ah, I all ways start with the head and eyes and expressions, well, after I get the bast sorta of what i'm doing. Unless of course I start from a different direction, bluh. And I appreciate that, i'm still fiddling with it (I all ways say that LOL) but all in all, that is how it seems to be chugging along. I really like the usual look they are drawn, but when ever I try to do it, it looks off the wall to me, though lately i've been trying to get back into sticking the joints in the fingers.
