Description Hey guys, listen I might need to take a break here in a little bit for school stuff so you might not hear from me in a while, but over the summer I’ll be writing like a maniac!...hopefully… ENJOY THE CHAPTER!!

After Patrick finished crying, Tsunade helped him out to the dome, which was now crumbling completely without Patrick’s will keeping it together and turning to a pile of ice chunks.
She had one hand on his back while the other was checking for a fever. He felt only a little warm, but Patrick was sweating buckets. The white haired child had calmed down slightly so that had stopped sweating, but the sweat he already produced stuck to his skin like a thin film of water after swimming.

Still lightly shaking, he walked up to the group of slightly confused ninja and sadly looked up to Gai, “Can you please take me to Kakashi…” Gai was surprised that he wanted to see the ninja he had just frozen. At first he was silent, but before he could give a response, Naruto jumped in front of him. “NO WAY!! Why should we let you see Kakashi, you’ll probably just try to kill him again!!”

Those words stung Patrick, worse than he thought considering he was expecting it. He just looked at the ground by his feet. “I know why you must think that,” he lifted his head to look his in the blue eyes of the furious blonde ninja, “but I assure you that I was, am not, and never will be a person who kills for fun or for no reason. I hurt someone who was close to you and I understand that pain, a pain that can never be truly forgiven or forgotten.”
“The feeling of hatred and regret is just shoved away into a dark corner of you mind as you try to move past it. But you never can, the only thing keeping you going is hope, and even that eventually dies.” Patrick’s eyes gave off a gleam of sadness and sorrow before he dropped on his knees while sticking both his arms in front of him, bowing deeply in front of Naruto.

“Please, I’m not asking for forgiveness. Just let me try to do what I can so that you don’t have to be sad anymore.” He would have been crying right then if he hadn't run out of tears to cry already.

Naruto didn't exactly know what to do, not used to people actually bowing down to him. But he was snapped out of his confusion when Gai put a hand on his shoulder. “Naruto, I think we should give him a chance. Neji tells me that he is not the same person as the one who attacked us.” Gai leaned in closer and spoke softer so that no one but Naruto could hear him. “And I feel as though you should know that kind of pain more than anyone.”

This struck a chord with Naruto; he never considered that his problem could happen to other people besides people like him and Gaara. But Patrick obviously had demons living in him, and he might have been off worse than Gaara had, not even having siblings or a friends.
Reluctantly, he accepted Patrick’s apology and help as they all surrounded him like a convoy and walked back into the tower. Patrick never looking up the entire walk.

Once he got to Tsunade’s office he could see that the door he froze was blown off the hinges by something. The scattered pieces of ice-coated wood and bits of metal littering the ground. He would have to pay for that.

The small fanged ninja then slowly walked up to a still frozen Kakashi, the mid-afternoon light coming in from the windows casting a beautiful blue and turqoise glow behind Kakashi on the wall. Patrick just gazed at that for a moment before he remembered that he needed to act quickly.

After everyone formed another, tighter half circle around Patrick and Kakashi he slowly placed his right hand softly against the large frozen mass of water surrounding the ninja. After a moment of concentration the ice began to crack in a web-like fashion all throughout the ice with the epicenter being his hand.

After the ice finished cracking it began to fall apart, and soon enough a gasping Kakashi fell onto the floor.

“*gasp* What? *gasp* just happened?” Patrick turned then to Shizune, “In my bag there is some medicine that should help with hypothermia and frostbite, can you please send someone to go get it.”

She was about to say yes, but before she could Naruto had already said he would do it and created a single shadow clone that left in a hurry.

“Ok, until then we need some warm water, blankets, and hot soup.” A few others left to go acquire the items while the medical ninja tended to Kakashi immediately, and the rest kept an eye on Patrick.

*2 Hours Later*

After Kakashi was treated with the special ointment and green pills Patrick had, the masked ninja began to feel much better than he had before. If he hadn't taken them when he did he might have died or had some of his flesh lost to frostbite.

Once Kakashi was healed to the point he felt he could carry out his duties, he, the other senseis, Team Seven, Lee, and the Hokage and her assistant remained.

“Well Patrick, I think that we are entitled to an explanation as to what just happened.” The Hokage said, her serious tone once again masking her own fear and sadness, both for the boy and what he could do if he suffered another mental breakdown.

“*sigh* O-Ok, I know. But please try understand that this is difficult for me to talk about…”
He then explained who he was, where he came from, and the fact that he was a host to three different demons. Everyone was obviously shocked; the idea of one demon being sealed into a person was hard enough for most to grasp, but three!!

“And that’s about all I can remember.” Everyone was pretty shocked that someone who seemed so delicate and sensitive could lead such a harsh life, and they probably wouldn’t have believed a minute of it if they all hadn't seen proof in the form of an actual demon possessing him.

“Please wait one moment, you have an Ice style chakra? What is this?” Lee asked confused. Since he couldn’t use ninjutsu and barely read anything aside from training books, he was extremely unknowledgeable in the field of nature transformation. “I thought there were only 5 chakra types?”

Kakashi decided to step in and explain how mixing chakra types works. “Well Lee, there are 5 basic types of chakra: fire, water, wind, earth and lightning. Sometimes certain people can have two chakra types and mixing them together can create new types. In this case mixing wind and water can create ice.”

After Kakashi finished explaining chakra natures to Lee, he looked to Patrick for confirmation, but was met with a peculiar expression. He couldn't tell if the boy was shocked or…insulted with what he just said…

“What the hell are you talking about?” The young fanged ninja bluntly asked, clearly confused.
“Uhh… T-That’s how Ice style works…” Now Kakashi was confused. Patrick just looked a bit more insulted but then a sudden realization took him. “Ohhh! You guys are talking about the other kind of Ice style!”

Seeing that no one besides him knew what he was talking about, he explained further. “Ok, you see there are three different classes of Ice style. The last two involve using water and wind chakra as you said. The 3rd class is any Ice style that is not a kekkei genkai, like some of the ninja of the former Land of Winter.”

He continued, “2nd class Ice style is any water and wind style combination that creates Ice style and is a kekkei genkai. The only one that I am familiar with though is the Yuki Clan from the Land of Water.”

“Finally, there is 1st class Ice style, do have a piece of paper and a pencil I can borrow?”
Shizune nodded her head and procured a blank piece of white paper and a pen from her pocket and placed them both on the table. “Thank you. Now as far as you know there are 5 basic types of chakra.” He then bent over and started drawing on the paper.

“Ok, so here are the five basic types that have advantages to each other making a sort of ring.” On the paper he drew some squiggly lines meant to represent wind, a jagged line meant to look like a bolt of lightning, a blockish sort of shape that sort of looked like a rock, a circle with a pointed top half to look like a drop of water, and finally several curvy, long triangles to symbolize fire.

And in that order he drew an arrow from one to the other, a line from wind to lightning, lightning to earth, earth to water, water to fire, and fire to wind.

“Now, as you can see each element has its own strengths and weakness. The ones with arrows pointed to them are weak against the element the line came from. But 1st class Ice style, or true Ice style, is itself one of the basic chakra types. The 6th basic chakra type.”
On the left side of the paper he drew a little snow flake, between water and fire. “Now as you probably guessed it is not a common type of chakra and as far as I know it is only produced if the person is born in the Land of Ice. There are several reasons that most people don’t know about this particular type of chakra. One is how uncommon it is, having to be born in a place where there are constant blizzards being a difficult task. Second is that it doesn’t follow the diagram that I drew.”

He pointed to the snowflake, “While in this order water is superior to fire, when you include ice it would go in between those two, but instead of going clockwise, it goes counterclockwise so that fire is stronger and ice is superior to water. Ice is weak against fire for more or less obvious reasons and while there have been several fire-resistant ice jutsu made, overall most ice-based jutsu can be destroyed or delayed by fire jutsu. Ice is also superior to water because almost any water-based attack or defense can be frozen into ice and then controlled by the Ice style user.”

“I suppose the easiest way to look at is if you imagine people like the Yuki clan combine tea leaves and hot water to make tea; like water and wind to make ice. While people from the Land of Ice were born with already drinkable tea, or true Ice chakra.”

While explanation did help, everyone was still a bit confused, the Hokage was more skeptic. “So, you’re telling me that you have a completely different chakra type? Sorry but that does sound a bit hard to swallow.”

“I realize that. But I can prove it. Do you have any of the chakra absorbing paper I’ve heard about?”

Once again Shizune nodded and left the room for a few moments before returning with a few small pieces of paper about the size of a business card.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow, “Hmm, so if you really do have a different type of chakra, then this paper should be able to prove it.”

“Wait, what is this… chakra paper Gai-sensei?” Lee asked Gai while staring at the small piece of paper wondering how it would prove anything.

“Well Lee, this paper is made from a type of tree that feeds by absorbing chakra. The paper of this tree has special properties.” Gai explained. “When you channel your chakra into it, it can tell you what chakra type you have. If it crumbs you have a earth chakra, if it wrinkles you have lightning chakra, dampness means water chakra, spitting means wind chakra, and finally if it catches on fire you have fire chakra.”

“Oh, I see Gai-sensei! So what happens if you have two chakra natures?”

“It depends,” Patrick now explained , “for example if someone used 2nd class ice style, water and wind chakras, then if they held the paper in both hands and concentrated their chakra into the paper it would become both damp and cut.”

And to prove his point, the white haired demon host closed his eyes and focused his chakra into the fingertips on his right hand where the paper was. A few seconds later a dull crackling sound emitted from his fingertips as several trails of frost grew from them spreading all over the piece of paper until it was completely frozen in a thin block of ice.

“But with Ice chakra, as you might have guessed, the paper freezes.”

Tsunade watched with extreme interest as Patrick placed the frozen paper on her desk.

“Hmmm, so is this chakra is what allows you to heal so quickly?”

Although Patrick wasn't exactly happy before, his face sunk into a bit of depressed frown. “No, that’s something else. Living in a barren wasteland isn’t easy, but people learned to live in the Land of Ice and a few clans slowly grew inside of the Hidden Blizzard Village. One of them was my former clan, the Aisumasutā clan.”

He went on, “The Aisumasutā clan had always been extremely proficient at Ice style dating back to the first Kōrikage, Shinkōri Aisumasutā. He used his new and revolutionary style to carve out and entire glacier to protect the villagers from the constant blizzards.”

“One of the traits my clan has is a special enzyme in our blood that when lowered below the freezing point of water stimulates cell growth and promotes extremely fast healing. In order for it to work I need to lower my internal body temperature, so by consuming ice and snow they act as a catalyst for the enzyme.”

Lee, Naruto, and Gai just stared at him with blank expressions, all three saying “Uhhhh… what?” in unison while tilting their heads to the left.

While everyone else had a better grasp on what Patrick was saying, it still took some imagination to actually believe it.

While Tsunade grabbed a random folder from the various scattered documents that made a home on her desk, Shizune’s curiosity as a doctor got the better of her. “So, do you have any proof of this ‘special enzyme’ or its affects?’”

Patrick’s habit of looking down at feet resurfaced after hearing Shizune’s question. “Yes…I do…” The fanged boy slowly lifted his left arm to his face and opened his mouth slightly. He then tore a large gash across his forearm with his fangs. The large cut quickly spilling bright red blood all over his arm, some of it dripping from his arm and fangs onto the carpet. He griped his wounded arm tightly and hissed though his teeth at the pain.

Tsunade and the others gasped at what he had done to himself, while Shizune immediately began to treat the wound.

“Are you insane?! What were you thinking?!” But he turned away from her, clutching his still bloody arm tighter. “No! I mean… I’ll be fine, I just need something cold…owww, please hurry!”

“Can’t you just use your own ice?” asked the pink haired girl who up until now had remained silent. “No, I can’t… but…”

Patrick focused his chakra into his fingertips and frozen a streak of ice formed over where the cut had been made, stopping the bleeding from getting worse. However the fresh blood still soaked his arm and would probably stain the carpeted floors of the Hokage’s office. He’d probably have to pay for that too.

“Shizune, please go get some ice.” The Hokage calmly ordered to her assistant who ran out the office to retrieve the frozen water.

She then just stared at the bandage of ice in what could have been pity, regret, or sadness. “You didn’t need to do that you know, your blood tests show that you do in fact have a foreign substance floating around in your bloodstream, so why do that to yourself?”

Patrick just continued to look at the ground, only a deep scowl furrowed across his brow.
“Why not, what good am I to anybody? I’m just a monster, a hideous freak of nature!”
She was slightly taken aback by his outburst; the only words he ever spoke while in control of his body being soft, quiet, and polite. “P-Patrick, that’s not true!”

Patrick rarely shouted, but he couldn't contain himself anymore. After finally being able to face his depression earlier, several other strong and confusing emotions began to swirl around inside of him. And now a sudden rush of rage filled his body and he felt the need to let it out.

“And why not? You don’t know the things I’ve done, the people I’ve killed!! All I am and ever will be is those THINGS' human meat puppet!! You should just kill me while you have the chance!!”

Breathing heavily, his furious stare, clenched fists, and bared fangs dared anyone to question him and no one did. At least not at first, until Naruto decided to break the dense silence.

“Patrick, that isn't true. People always see what they choose to see and not for what you really are. When they see you all they might be able to see is a blood-thirsty demon, but that’s all they choose to see. They’re the ones who make you out to be a monster. Those people might think that they know you, that you choose to do the things you do… but not me!”

“I might not have known you for very long, but I can sense that you don’t like killing, you’re not like that wolf jerk! Your name isn't Hōkkami, Kitaguma, or Hyōko! Your name is Patrick Aisumasutā and you are not a demon!!”

Everyone except for Patrick smiled lightly that Naruto could feel so passionate for someone he had just met, and only the adults knew the true reason for his compassion was a sense of relateability. Naruto had had a difficult life himself and knew first-hand how it felt to be judged and persecuted for something you had no control over, so it was of little surprise that he would sympathize with him.

Patrick however just stared in amazement at the frowning blonde ninja in front of him. How could he know what it felt like to be so lonely, to feel so hated! But looking into his large blue eyes, he could feel the same pains of loneliness and hatred that threatened to swallow him alive every day.

‘Someone…understands…’

Tears began to form in the corners of his eyes. “D-Do you… really mean that… N-Naruto?”
The blonde just gave a big, cheeky grin and put his hand on Patrick’s shoulder. “You betcha’, believe it!”

The tears began to stream down his pale white cheeks, only this time they were accompanied by a quivering smile before he broke into sobs into his hands, this time however they were tears of joy as between every breath he would blubber a ‘th-th-thank y-y-you’.

After two or so minutes of crying, again, Shizune returned with a gallon-size plastic bag full of ice. And after patting his back he turned around and accepted the bag while wiping his red, puffy eyes.

Aftee a few moments where the only sound coming from the room was Patrick’s munching and crunching on ice, he finally spoke again.

“Ahh, thank you very much.” Patrick patted his stomach in satisfaction, which was odd considering all he ate was ice so it was more like drinking water, but no one commented.
“Now Patrick, I think we need to address the obvious problem if you’re going to be staying here for the time being.”

The way the Hokage said that made Patrick shift uncomfortably on the balls of his feet, fearing they might do something drastic.

“Do you have any more information about these demons other than their names, like how to suppress them further? We would be willing to assist you in any way possible as long as it is within our power.”

Patrick stopped shuffling on his feet and stood silently, his head hung low. The tension in the room was almost palpable, until he lifted his face. A dark shadow hung over his eyes giving him an ominous and almost evil look.

“I know something better than suppressing them… I know how to kill them."
