Description Photos and graphics of my designs for the Inked Adventures Map & Dice Playing Cards.

They are a Bridge sized deck, which are usable as normal playing cards but they also have features which might benefit dungeon masters and roleplayers. The maps are from my hand drawn geomorphic maps (tiles). They can be used to help a DM plan an adventure or can be used to create a megadungeon on the fly in random play. The spades suit is main entrances and end of row sections, the rest of the cards are standard square geomorphs with two exits on every side. Distributed across the deck are dice results simulating a d20, a d6 and a d100.
I'm a big fan of older versions of D&D and their retroclones (especially Swords&Wizardry's Whitebox which simulates OD&D) where d20s and d6s are all you need for combat. The d20 has been tweaked to include a slightly higher chance of critical success and failures (i.e a few extra 1s and 20s). I fancy that if you were stuck in a caravan on a rainy day with these cards, you could probably improvise a whole roleplaying session, or just play Solitaire/Patience.

Some elements were drawn in ProCreate (iPad), assembled and tweaked in GIMP, finally pieces prepared in LibreOffice. The geomorph maps were originally drawn by hand using a fineliner pen in a moleskine graphpaper notebook.

The final product is printed to order through DriveThruCards.
