Windows XP was the most popular Microsoft computer released. People wanted more. So Microsoft made Longhorn. You may know it as the beta of Vista, but it's actually better than that. It didn't have all of the bugs and BSODs of Vista. It still had the applications from Vista, only with more compatibility towards XP. IT had the good parts of both XP and Vista. And they scrapped it. Why? Forced Obsolescence. You can still find pirated copies of the Longhorn beta online, but they may contain viruses, so be careful!
