The textures are fantastic. It really does look like traditional art. I love how the attention is drawn towards the clarity of the figure in the centre and I also really like the folded cloth type texture in the background.
I suppose only you can know the true meaning behind this piece, but it certainly speaks a very strong message to me. To me, it looks like a human being carried through difficult times in life by something much more than human. Well, i'm sure you you get what I mean

how can this only have one comment? I guess to really appreciate it, it has to be viewed in full size - the details and textures are so .. detailed. hehee!
I know exactly what you mean about naming things - you spend all that time creating, and then you have to sum it up in WORDS. The two do not compute.
Anyway, this is such a great feel to it - like an italian fresco. I can't help thinking there are religious overtones here.
