Holy fuckbuckets. This is....wow. I'm still an amateur artist, but I know good art when I see it. The immense amount of detail here is amazing. From fur to feathers to scales, the textures are perfect. What really stunned me was the drawing on the chalk board, I mean, every little detail! each creature's artwork and just WOW! I spent 5 or so minutes just soaking it up!

This is an absolutely phenomenal piece of artwork! The creatures are so uniquely different in texture, build, color, and personality that it brings forth the feeling that each is an individual artist with individual talents, techniques and culture. And how they come together in a classroom as does one in their experiences own life. 
The artwork on the canvases in the background is just as gorgeous as the sketches done of the figure posing and a testament to just how truly talented you are as an artist 
I hope one day I will be able to do pieces and execute them with excellence as you do with each new piece of work you present and post.

I feel like a ditz, but I just counted, and Satan is wrong. I only came up with 38-40 obvious opportunities to paint boobs instead of male buttocks XD
Anyway.
I absolutely love this painting. I know I faved it like... five months ago, but I keep coming back to this (and the entire rest of your gallery) just to stare at it some more, because every time I look at it, there's always some shit I missed. That goes for your whole gallery, actually. Stalker level 9000.

Y'know - I've been being like, a critiquing mofo recently. Scowering all the internets finding awesome people like you, and attempting to point out where they could push a piece even further. DAMN RIGHT, YOU WERE GONNA BE NEXT WITH THIS ONE - but, reading your comments, you've already nailed yourself with basically what I was gonna suggest -_-. (Super foreground framing to emphasize depth)
YOU'RE GONNA MESS UP BOBBY, And I'mma critique you one day, and you're gonna be like, "Dayum."

On another note - You said preplanning did wonders for ya. Naturally all the awesome artists know that preplanning is the shiznit. You said you've taken influence from James Gurney - and I was wondering if you break down your character designs the same way he/Terryl Whitlatch do. Y'know, mastering anatomical structure (bone/muscle/flesh) from creatures, and combining/exaggerating as they please.
JUST WONDERIN' - Since like, your designs are totally on par with those guys IMO, design/execution/solidity. (I saw both of them do a talk at the Creative Talent Network Expo several months ago (it was awesome))

Oh wow! I just adore all the types of creatures you've invented! Each one could be its own painting! That elegantly graceful giraffe-like one, the cute fluffy duck with such lovely gem tones, the foxes and wolves..they all have such lifelike expressions, and each painting or sketching or crafting in their own style! Unbelievable! There are new things to see each time you look at this!
