permeators of the aethyr
where an underwater void lies
a keyhole that is not a hole
that a key fits not
to see this abomination
is to stare
into the streaming vortex
where serpents dwell
and frogs leap across time
it is there where
that which should never be
not have dwells
all of the oceans of time boil
and heave black
upon bloodied beach of toads and insects
primordial crustaceans
through which the key which is not
a key is found
the hole dwells deeper still yet
to dig is to close it
and to search is to lose it
the howler will enter
but never dwell
towering monoliths etched
in black ancient script
where slime oozes and watchers wait
for the time and non-existent place
a hole in the fabric can be seen
when the stars of 13 are 12
the moon rises above capricorn
the place beyond the stars
swallows the 13th
then slowly
if one times and leaps through
the space between
will the fabric tear
and time to torn asunder
then they will return
to trembling water
spinning as the fires rise
but the air cools
the sun turns black
and the moon burns brighter still
swallowing the exploding star
spinning planets into obscene orbits
that turn liquid to air
and earth to fire
but the dwellers seek not destruction
but rebirth of chaotic copulation
upon stone altars of dripping seed
where dark alchemists
create an undying breed
of elixirs and formulas
ancient as time
priestess and priest unite to bring
an end to time
and the return of the ancient howling winds
that freeze the vines
and turn oceans to seas of ice
frozen, yet alive
