long, black satin robewith the signs
of the sun
of the moon
the eight planets
symbols of ancient winds
golden serpents entwined
the eye of horus above
astrological glyphs
the bull, the ram, the goat
a garment worn
to conjure, to invoke
upon it flames and devils dance
stars within circles
pentagrams inverted
sigils of spirits
seals of demons
names of power into it sewn
the musk of the earth
and other dark scents
infused within its shiny ebony skin
slipping it on
its chills like the icy grip of death
then burns
scorching the skin
leaving its mark
upon those who dare
to wear
the wizard robe
granted to them the command
of earth, of air, of water, of fire
to pierce the veil
walking through the gates
into worlds unseen to mortal eyes
worlds of power, of darkness, of magick
the wizards robe upon which two jeweled buttons
glow malevolently like the eyes of satan
watching from below
in the dim light of a single candles glow
