"There's a tale that has not yet to be told… Even in Darkness there is always a Light, yet our Story is about a Shadow, a Blue Wind, and a Red Rose"

"Yet There is always a beginning, as a stream becomes a mighty river or a seed a tree so to is our story to begin"

These words spoke as the vision of the land slowly passed from the clouds that flowed through the vast blue sea of the sky, only open to a truly amazing sight. A kingdom of massive size that was surround by great meadows of golden flowers and fresh green, trees stood alone only to slowly be met by those of others forming mighty forests.  Yet the land it self was impressive it was the mighty City that held people of all kinds. Prosperity followed through the lands with farms having great life's and people made good coin to feed friends and family. While in the town it self traders came and went as they pleased, the guards relaxed and were kind to all, mostly the ones that had lost others in old wars and young with out parents.  All lived happy, race did not matter, be them Hedgehog, Wolf, Dog, Fox, and so on. Yet at the top of the large hill was a Castle, it was a beautiful sight alone, but the gardens of golden green and the way that the sun glazed across its stones made it a picture of heaven.

One Hedgehog Stood in the top of the Castles largest tower gazing over the Kingdom. He was very young though around the age of 30, with dark blue quills, with some black streaks across his small streaks of gray, yet the struggle of keeping this land at peace and at freedom made the poor Hedgehog seem older then he truly was. His Name was Shadic, King of Station Square Kingdom, His rule over the kingdom was firm yet fare, he wanted to do what was right for the people and he has done it so far and by being true to himself and his people he has forged one of the strongest kingdoms of this Era.

Someone came up behind Shadic, he bowed before speaking "Lord Shadic, it is time, they are arriving".  Shadic being broken out of his pondering went wide eyed, he knew what the guard spoke of. Shadic turned to the messenger. "Where is she?" He asked calmly. The messenger  nodded slowly and answered " to the easterner bedroom Last I was told is that she had resting before it happened". Shadic pushed the Messenger to the side running down the stairway, going as fast as he can to the Bedroom. Which only took seconds from his powerful leg power. Yet he was already to late for once he entered the room he saw his lovely wife named Flight a hedgehog like himself, with dark red eyes and a crimson red for her quills, along with two young hedgehogs in each of her arms. Shadic slowly walked up to the bedside looking down on his lovely wife, smiling as she gave him a small weak grin. "Look at your sons my love" Flight said weakly but with much cheer within it.  Shadic picked up each one of the boys, The first was with blue quills yet his legs were stronger then normal young, proving he was amazing at speed. Shadic Smiled as the young Blue Hedgehog cried loudly " he has a fine set of lungs, I could tell by my ear drums are ringing" Shadic joked lightly. The mother giggled weakly as she slowly removed the blue baby from his fathers arms. Shadic, just before asking was handed the second child, a Black quill Hedgehog, with streams of red across the back of his quills, having both Shadic's and Flights quill colors, and Dark Crimson eyes. "they are both very beautiful, just like their mother" Shadic whispered to the sleepy Flight, who just smiled. "they will be strong and brave just like their father" She said weakly before resting up. Shadic turned away from the bedside walking out the door way, thinking of names for them, the future kings of Station Square Kingdom.

"Ten years pasted, the boys grew stronger, The Blue prince was named by his Father to be Sonic, for his fast running abilities, While the Dark Prince was named Shadow by his mother for he looked like the very shadow of his Father" Sonic (always wanting to be first) runs outside of the castle and into its courtyard, only to be followed by his Shadow. "Come on Brother, slow down you know I cant keep up with you, you being fast as father" Shadow pleaded to his brother who slowed down for him. "oh come on Shady boy" Sonic smiled as he called Shadow by his nickname he gave him a few years back "you look so much like father that I could just throw some paint on you and make you King, speeds all I got and I'm proud of that" Sonic snickered as he started to run. Shadow smirked "just because your proud of those legs of yours doesn't mean you have to be a show off" Shadow yelled out at his slowly fading out of sight brother.

Sonic turned around while running slowly backwards "I am not a show off!" just as sonic said that he ran into someone which knocked him off balance and he fell over. "Watch it boy, do you not see who I am" A tall strong wolf stood tall over the young Sonic, He was black furred with white ear tips and tail. He was wearing shining armor of gold and held a might sword along his back side that was nearly bigger then him self. "well!" The wolf demanded of the Scared Prince. Lucky Shadow came up over to the wolf, standing between him and his brother "we are the princes of this Kingdom so watch your tongue sir" Shadow spate at the wolf. The wolf grinned at the young boys "hehe, the princes well I guess I will say I'm sorry, but not because your princes but because you got the guts to stand up for your brother young Prince" the wolf smiled down at Shadow. "sonic slowly got up and stood beside his brother as they stared up at the wolf. "who might you be sir" Sonic asked him. "well my name is Ragon, Ragon WolfBane really, and what may your boys names be "I am Prince Sonic, my brother is prince Shadow, sons of Shadic the Hedgehog"  Sonic answered for both them. Just then Their mother Flight came up to the wolf and warped her arms around him in a loving manner "oh my, Ragon it is such a pleasure to see you my old friend" Flight smiled at the Tall wolf who returned the grin "well I was in the town and I thought I drop by to met you, my lady" Ragon kneeled to Flight. Flight giggled and pulled him back up "you have no need to bow to me Ragon, you are as much family to us as I am to yours". Ragon smiled and nodded as He soon was jumped on from behind by Shadic "Ragon, my old friend how are you!" Shadic spoke to him with much joy. "Fine, as long as you don't hold on to me like you are now!'" Ragon said as Shadic let go of him soon after.  "Shadic looked over to his sons "my boys, this is Ragon, he's a traveler and a Hero". The boys nodded after Ragon explained that they had met already. "well may I ask how you are a hero?" Shadow asked questionable , "Ragon was hanging around in the town when he heard news of a kingdom on the move to destroy us, with out his leadership and fighting skills we may have lost our beloved home either way" their mother said giving her friend a loving kiss on the cheek, which Ragon blushed lightly, and Shadic laughed. AS the three went off into the castle talking as old friends do, Sonic turned to Shadow "Thanks for standing up for me bro". Shadow grinned "hey anything for my bro, I hope one day I become a great hero like Ragon" Sonic nodded and they went off on their tomfoolery.

"yet  when they grew older things started to change" Sonic and Shadow started to fight against each other in the training area, swords clashing against each other, Sonics battle roars, and Shadows grunts being hear through out the lower halls of the castle. They stopped and stood there, both panting "well Shady boy, your getting way better" Sonic smirked at his tired brother. Shadow grinned "I always will be better, I'm the other brother remember?" Shadow spat with kindness at his brother. Sonic charged at him wide eyed, but was blocked by the blade of his brother. Sonic jumped back to get distance away from him and started to circle around him. Shadow had his chance to charge at Sonic but missed and was punched back by his brother, Shadow being hit right in the face fell to the ground, only to look up at his brother, who had his sword at point to his head. "ready to give up?" Sonic asked, Shadow finally had it, something inside him went off, just then  a blast of energy came around Shadow, knocking his brother against the wall. Sonic was in a daze as Shadow started to turn red with anger and laughing out of control, Shadow then flashed and he was right in front of Sonic. Before a chance to defend himself Sonic was in his enraged brothers grasp and he could tell something was Wrong with Shadow, Shadow griped his fist tightly around Sonics neck making it hard to breath, before Sonic could fell into Darkness of the lack of air, his father punched Shadow across the face, knocking him all the way across the room, freeing Sonic from his grasp. "Sonic are you ok?" Shadic asked him, Sonic could speak, he was to tired and he only nodded weakly. Shadic turned over to his Son Shadow who was shaking his head trying to free him self from his enraged state. Shadic flashed and then was standing in front of Shadow, placing a hand on his forehead using his energy to free Shadow. Shadow gasped for air as he slowly fell to the ground "what… what happened?" Shadow asked between gasps of air. "I'm not sure son but I need to take you to our brightest Mage: Shadic answered as he ran over to Sonic and started running to the healers, the guards slowly helping Shadow to the Mages tower. Sonic could barley hear his fathers as he slowly blacked out the last words he heard were "you will be ok son, you'll be ok".

Sonic slowly opened his eyes to find himself in a strange room, Shadow sitting by the bedside "are you ok brother?" Sonic looked angrily over at his brother "I would be fine if it weren't for you" Sonic yelled at him. Shadow shake his head and sighed, getting up and slowly walking out "I know when I'm not wanted" . Sonic nearly felt bad for removing him from the room, but he soon got over it. Suddenly, Sonic heard voices in the other side of the door, it was hard to hear but he made out some bits, "What do you mean… Shadow is not a…" it was his mother, she was crying. "I wish I could tell you different but…" it was the master mage. "I am not going to… my own son for… there has to be another way" it was his father, angry as ever. "Sonic doesn't seem to have… Shadow is only taping his power…. Danger… all the kingdom" the mage explained this to the two, though Sonic couldn't hear much of it. There was a yell a scream and a long sob before foot steps ran off the hall way only to be followed by others soon after. "My own Brother, a Danger to all of the Kingdom?" Sonic thought this was all wrong, this isn't true, Shadow said he die for this Kingdom.

"Two weeks followed from that day before knew traveled all around the Kingdom, a grim twist of fate happened that day" Flight laid quietly in her room, her love Shadic standing beside her "how could he have died!' Flight demanded. Shadic sighed hold back his tears, "Damnit, damn those bandits, Shadow just wanted to go off into the woods to be alone, and…" Shadic trailed off as he fought his unwining battle to hold back his tears.  Even Ragon was there to aid his sorrowing friends. Meanwhile Sonic was still laying in his head still healing his wounds from his battle with his now Dead brother, "I guess, I guess I will be king now" Sonic said to himself as he failed at his chances to sleep. No body was ever found of Shadow, only words from guards seeing the attack, but were unable to save him in time.

"Everyone has a Shadow, and those who don't have already lost them selves" Soon only a year after Shadow, came the death of his Father Shadic, there was a while towns worth of people who came, many more would have if the guards had not stopped them. Sonic did not cry, could he? He couldn't…, now he was left with his mother, what of the kingdom? It was a heaven of peace and fairness, what now? The king dead, a broken queen and a cold prince left.  Something was different with Flight from that day, she acted different she sounded different, she grew older and older as the days past by, and she started rubbing it off on Sonic, till he was different, he was way different. A Illness struck the queen, yet unwilling to die she lays in bed all day, while her Son runs the kingdom as a prince still. Just as Sonic changed the Kingdom change, happiness was changed to sorrow, the kind guards turned bitter, and life became worse and worse for the people of Station Square Kingdom, runaways were killed with out mercy, taxes became higher and higher. The Prince that Sonic wanted to be had died with his father, now he was a evil ruler who had no mercy on anyone. Yet he was not King, but still prince at title, he did not have full power as he thought, built he would change that, their law stated he must marry a bride in order to gain the title of King. He knew of a girl, a girl that loved him ever since he was a young teenager. He did not love her back, yet he could use her to met his ends. So one night he sent a letter to the kingdom of which this girl stayed, Princess Amy Rose. Who was more then willing to marry Sonic.

"that is where our story starts! that's where the future of the Kingdom is in the hands of criminals" these words were spoken as a carriage slowly was being taken to the Kingdom of Station Square. As Eyes flashed in the Shadows of the forest, ready to attack, little knowing that they will have a great path ahead of them…
