What will you see in the darkness there?
What will you face when you’re all alone?

My head spins with the thoughts
Of all I’ve been through, of all I’ve seen
I’m faced with the weaknesses
I won’t admit
And they tear at me
Ripping through what I show the outside world
And revealing who I am
To all who care to look

Hopelessness overtakes me
And I fear that I’m not strong enough
To look myself in the eye and survive
Never have I stopped to discover
Who I really am inside
And as I take one last look at the mask
My heart stops as I see a crack
And the glass shatters
The mask is gone
I’m left to put the pieces back together

But then a light turns on
I look up to see the shape of one I love
And his voice comes at me
Comforting me
Telling me that he knows exactly who I am

His arms wrap around me
Picking me up and lifting me from the shattered glass
I look in the mirror
