Description
Berenice's braid. She was a historical figure, the wife of Ptolemy and the queen of Egypt. According to legends and mythology,she cut off her beautiful braid and folded it in gratitude for her husband's happy return to the temple of Aphrodite.
The braid was so beautiful and the gods liked it, so they placed it in the sky. At my place, Berenika in the company of the neighboring constellation of the Hunting Dogs
