Makes me think alot of Mexican pools that appear in national geographic. Basicly, they are an area of 30-foot-wide pools connected by streams that were isolated or something from river water... Maybe an aquaduct upwell *tries to remember* Anyway, there are like 200-300 species that only live there and nowhere else. This looks a ton like one of the pics I saw, but the terrain is a bit crazy.
