History:
Elessa was born in a highly fought over border region near the east coast. The majority of her village was adamantly against the war, including her parents, and thus refused to fight on either side. When she was six, her parents were killed in an attack by bandits from the Calmare side of the border.

Now an orphan, Elessa was taken in by the Church of Ho-oh in a neighboring town. The head Pastor of the church was a fanatical believer in the need to purify Phantasaire, and trained his students to uphold those beliefs as well. As a result of his teachings, Elessa came to believe that the attack that killed her parents and the violence that racked the land were all the result of the spreading darkness. It was with this in mind that she decided to take up arms for Furia, in order to purge the contamination from Phantasaire and its inhabitants.

Personality:
Just like her mentor, she is a devout believer in Ho-oh and the cause of Furia and as such is very strict with herself and fellow priests. She is very set in her routines and is easily upset by any change made to her surroundings or schedule. Because of her serious and logical nature, she has little sense of humor and will often take jokes and sarcasm as literal statements. When reading, she often gets so focused on the book that she loses track of her surroundings. She often trips over things because she reads while walking.
