Description
Don’t you dare force me to conformI am not the norm
You see me and attach a label to me
A label like a can of vegetables
I am not a vegetable
I am living. I am breathing
I am moving. I am feeling
Not a zombie like you
Don’t you dare force me to conform
I am not the norm
Loner, Jock, Skater, Geek
Prep, Punk, Gangster, Emo, Freak
Things you call people, these aren’t names
They’re piles to stack the high-school bodies
Die and conform to one of these groups
Or live as your own person
Don’t you dare force me to conform
I am not the norm
Don’t give me a label
Don’t put a tag on my ear
Like a piece of livestock being lead to the slaughter
By the mold of society
I break that mold
And scatter the pieces across your segmented world
Don’t you dare force me to conform
I am not the norm

Well.... I took a quick look at your gallery and you sure have a lot of poems.... But as I promised... im going to check your gallery out ....
SO... lets begin:
This poem is quite good... I love the repetition in it. And what you say is certainly true. I dont quite know how things in America?/Highschool work, but here in the Netherlands with lots of people it goes that way... and thats a shame

Emotion shown well in this piece and what was better was your quick short sentence. By having the blunt they packed more of a punch and clear placed your point in the fore. A very great first start
