I hope you don't mind the suggestion--though I'm not good at this. If you choose words that don't only convey your feeling but flow good it will have a greater compact something like:
screaming awake
you flee from my grasp
nightmare of mine
You see what I mean? I do like the concept. What you chose is something easy to relate to. I'm glad your trying out the way of the haiku. Keep it up....
