Description
Aside from the front of the face and the side profile, the in-between frames between the two modes is what gets me, since I don't want it to seem her neck is being snapped because how fun would that be, seeing that this month hasn't taught me anything about why I hate my style and although I haven't narrowed it down, I had to go through a trip down memory lane with all my old art since I don't really, have a proper ref for mystery girl here.On Instagram you have all these fancy artists showing off their process through doing a split screen effect with one side being the sketch/lineart while the other side being completely finished, and with that in mind I decided to tackle that, seeing as I've COMPLETELY disregarded my original prompt with trying to keep it as simple as possible, going the extra mile and making me want to commit death quickly.
Mystery girl has been through a lot, having grown up with the world and watched as society developed from the primitive days to the bustling, and more connected landscape then ever before. Thinking about this made me want to crop her, to show different segments from when she was born to the very very adult woman she is now, to show the character progression you know?
Also I'm not sure if jukeboxes should be a thing or it's going against the time line, but you can barely tell that's a jukebox so I should get a pass at least.
