I've always imagined a unicorn's horn to be extremely sensitive, so I can only imagine how much it would hurt to take off that Band-Aid on her horn! >~<

That's what Vinyl gets being the DJ at that porcupine rave the other night.
When they pop and lock they tend to fling quills.
Luckily no tea was lost in the carnage.

Band-Aid is basically a brand name that has become synonymous with the product as a whole, in this case adhesive bandages. It's like what Sharpie is to permanent markers, Jello is to gelatin, and Republicans to dumb politicians.... Let me rephrase that last one, Republicans are to politicians.

When that happens it's called a genericised trademark. Some others that are common in the UK include Sellotabe for sticky tape (scotch tape) and Hoover for vacuum cleaner.

Band-Aid is technically a brand name.

Especially since I like to headcanon that unicorn horns are covered in a thin, fuzzy skin like the velvet on a deer's antlers.
