Description
Here comes another cat aircraft and flying ace!
The Bog-5 "Thunder" is the cats' most advanced fighter until now.The turbo charged V-8 engine, streamlined fuslage and good aerodynamic make it the fastest cat fighter ,and 2 autocannos mounted on the nose give it the firepower to bring down a Martian Flyer quickly. However,it's still a bit slower and less maneuverable than the Martian Flyer, but it has good climb rate and longer range ,which gave it some advantage in intercepting and "wearing-down" the Martian Flyer.
The "Thunder" lit up the cats' hope to change the tide of the Feline-Martian war,but there is still a long way to go...
The Ace showed here is Lt.Felix Maksimov,a recipient of "the Medal of Airforce Hero(1st class)",for scored three solid kills on Martian Flyers, two shared kills with his wingcat, and one kill on Martian Floater.

Actually, I missed it at first o.O "Felix" seemed so apparently derived from "felis", so didn't think about it until I saw it mentioned. Then everything clicked into place.
Hard to believe it has soon been a hundred years. There are a lot of aviation mascots, but few have been around as long as Felix.

More an Hurricane than an Ilyushin 10, it looks a well built fighter, piloted by an ace promises great satisfaction.
This drawing is terrific, one of the best of the series.

Oh,thanks so much for compliment,my dearest friend, you made my day!
When I design this aircraft,I mostly thought about the Curtiss P-40 and the Yak-3,and also considered the function of the aircraft and the continuity of the cat's design style,so this is the outcome.

Oh, both of them had a very sturdy cell. And it's true, the previous Curtiss P36 had a radial engine, while the Yak-1 supplanted the old radial-engine soviet fighters.
Long life to the cats!
