Description
As a child, if I believed something horrific was lurking in the shadows and stalking me, my instinct was to pull the bedsheets over my head and wait for the safety of the morning light. But I didn't realize how hot and difficult it would become to breathe when hiding under the sheets. Sooner or later I'd have to come up for air and, when I did, the horror would be there... waiting patiently...its face just inches from my own. This idea would haunt me for years and remains one of the best ways to send a chill down my spine. This image is a variation on this idea, and is a homage to this long time fear of mine.
