Nice to meet you! My name is Aiyama Kyoko! I'm a sports star who secretly loves girly things...and today has been a weird day, for my standards at least.
For those unfamiliar, I'm a lacrosse player for my small-town junior high team, and we were at our first championship game of our school's history. It was glorious, but as I was on the field for a timeout, a strange fairy hit me in the face! Nobody noticed her, thank god, but as said fairy began to talk about my destiny or something, out popped a scary trumpet monster, who transformed my best friend Aria into a Sour Note!
But as my determination grew higher, and as light shone within my heart...somehow...I became a band leader precure!
It turns out that this fairy, Onpu, is from Harmony Land, the music-themed kingdom of hope that watches over dreams. Whenever hope wavers, fairies like Onpu are supposed to correct it by coming to the human world, which they normally do undetected. But an evil kingdom called the Soul Land severed the connection and killed the kingdom's queen, leaving Onpu alone in the human world!
However, the fairy was told that she had the power to see the legendary precure, the ones to cure hope with the power of music, and that we need to find the parts of the queen scattered throughout the world, so that hope can be secure in our world once more.
Needless to say, I was super hyped to be a magical girl! And with my 3 fellow cures, we'll surely see that harmony is restored!

Name: Mitsuba Himeko (光羽姫子) /Cure String (キュアストリング) (Lyra Carpenter/Glitter Harp in GF)
Name Meaning:
- Surname: Mitsu means "light" and ba is another reading for hane, which means "feather", with each part relating to her powers over the sun and her harp motif (specifically the stereotype that angels play harps) respectively. Carpenter means "puller of a cart" and like the other warriors, her surname relates to a famous musician: Sabrina Carpenter.
- First name: Hime means "princess" and ko means "child", relating to her popular status. Lyra means "Harp" or "Lyre", which relates to her theme instrument.
- Her cure name, Cure String is relating to the string family of instruments, of which harps are a part of. Glitter Harp is just her theme instrument, which relates to her angel motif.

Personality: Elegant and fashionable, Himeko is an immensely popular band student at Hibiki Village Junior High, being called The Angel of Sound (音の天使, Oto no tenshi, same in GF) by the student body. Though she's very vain and can be considered a snob, Himeko is merely blunt due to her strict upbringing, in addition to the fact that she never really mingled with the common folk before.
Likes: Playing the harp, fairytales, being rich, fashion, good friends
Dislikes: Being looked down upon, mud, being alone, snowstorms, running late

Friends:
- Onpu (オンプ) (Piano in GF): The fairy of the group, who met Himeko whilst she was playing the harp in the band room. Though shocked that she could see Onpu, Himeko said she would consider the possibility of being a precure because of the fairy's insistence, and actually became one due to her being hurt. Ever since then, the two have a relatively great mentor-student relationship.
- Aiyama Kyōko (愛山響子)/Cure Baton (キュアバトン) (Melody Lennon/Glitter Baton in GF): The two understand each other's barriers, as seen when the pink cure still accepts Himeko's initial decision on focusing on studies even when Onpu still insisted. But when it's revealed that said focusing is due to strict parents,Kyouko's discussion with her afterwards changed the angel's opinion, and this new outlook combined with Onpu being attacked made her a pretty cure. The two often read fairy tales and gawk over fashion together.
- Tsukimoto Aria (月本ありあ)/Cure Flute (キュアフルート) (Aria Taylor/Glitter Flute in GF): Both being in a similar situation, Aria holds high respect for Himeko just as Melody has high esteem for Kanata. However, Himeko actually has a high regard for Aria due to her ability to keep the peace, and for her popularity in general. When she becomes a pretty cure, both ease off their fangirliness, and show that they indeed have a kindred soul.
- Tsuchida Kanata (土田奏多)/Cure Snare (キュアスネア) (Cadence Parker/Glitter Snare in GF): Since both are near the top of the popularity hierarchy, the two had heard of each other but hadn't really interacted. However, once they become precures, they confide in their shared struggles together. Rumor has it that they're even a couple, but who's to say?
- Umino Utano (海野唄能)/Cure Chorus (キュアコーラス) (Harmony Monroe/Glitter Chorus in GF): A mysterious tweenage girl who has no memory. Himeko makes sure to teach Utano to focus on her studies and to sing. Utano ends up loving the latter so much that her cure theme was based on it. Utano calls Himeko "HimeHimi" (姫火美, lit: Princess Fire Beauty, Pretty Princess in GF).
- Mitsuba Chikako (光羽千香子, Clara Carpenter in GF): Himeko's mother, who believes in pure beauty and diligence from her daughters and has a no tolerence policy for screwing around. Himeko is rightfully very distant from her.
- Mitsuba Hiroshi (光羽寛, Henry Carpenter in GF) Himeko's father, who believes that his daughters should be prosperous and famous, often setting strict standards until Himeko finally stands up for herself.
- Mitsuba Sakurako (光羽櫻子, Lily Carpenter in GF): Himeko's older sister, who is more willing to follow her parents rules and scolds her sister for not feeling the same. Secretly, she's against them too, but kept her mouth shut until Himeko finally stands up for herself.
Other info:
- In the future, she inherits her mother's company, last scene in a sales meeting.
- Himeko is bilingual due to her British (French in GF) dad. As such, she speaks fluent english (French)
- The District the series takes place in is called Music Hall (音楽場, Ongakuba, Echo County in GF), a vastly populated county with a huge art scene. The specific town Kyoko lives in is called Hibiki Village (響村, Hibiki-mura, Soundville in GF), which is a small town connected to the much bigger Preformance River City (Sogawa-shi, 奏川市, Music Hills in GF). The other 3 cures live in the latter city, however they go to the much closer village school due to their location.
- The girls go to Hibiki Village Junior High School (Hibiki-mura chūgakkō, 響村中学校), (Euterpe Middle School in GF, named after the muse of music)
- The dimension that Onpu's from is called Harmony Land (ハーモニーランド Hāmonīrando, Harmonious in GF)
- The monsters are called Sour Notes (サワーノート Sawānōto, same in GF), which are made from people who's "inner melodies" (their feelings) are wavering.

With the Gutiar (ギター Gitā) Harmony Charm, she can send soundwaves that soothes the victim's soul, thus making the Sour Note weaker.
With the Violin (バイオリン Baiorin) Harmony Charm, she can play a sharp tune that hurts the enemy's ears.
With the Sitar (シタール Shitāru) Harmony Charm, she can send out a tune that cancels out any beam an enemy sends out.

Precure! Angel Prominence! (プリキュア！エンジェルプロミネンス! Purikyua! Enjerupurominensu!, Glitter Force! Angelic Sunstorm! in GF) Her first attack, she needs the Sunny Harp and her transformation Harmony Charm to work. There, she touches the buttons on the wand as if she was playing a harp, causing the ground to shoot out a fire geizer, which morphs into a sun. As Cure String holds the wand to her chest, she says the attack name and thrusts the wand outward, expanding the sphere like a shock-wave. As the sphere continues expanding, it engulfs purifies a weaker Sour Note.
Precure! Symphonic Prominence! (プリキュア！シンフォニックプロミネンス！Purikyua! Shinfonikkupurominensu!, Glitter Force! Symphonic Sunstorm! in GF) Her main sub attack, she needs the Sunny Harp and her Ultra Harmony Charm to work.There, she touches the buttons on the wand as if she was playing a harp, causing the ground to shoot out a fire geizer, which morphs into a sun As Cure String holds the wand to her chest, she says the attack name and thrusts the wand outward. This expands the sphere like a shock-wave, burning and stunning any enemy in its path.
Group Attack:
The song of hope, the melody of dreams! Pretty Cure! Harmonic Concert! (希望の歌、夢のメロディー！プリキュア！ハーモニックコンサート！Kibō no uta, yume no merodī! Purikyua! Hāmonikkukonsāto!, Singing for hope, our concert of dreams! Glitter Force! Harmony Concert! in GF): A group attack that involves Cure Baton. Flute, Snare, and String, plus their Marching Wands and Harmony Crystals. To charge up the attack, the cures play their own wands as if they were playing their instruments, with Baton leading the Cures. After the rainbow colored energy finishes charging, they hold out their wands up straight in the air as said energy shoots out, transforming into a cluster of music notes. Then the cures say the attack name, and then touch the tips of their wands together, launching the notes up and out towards a stronger Sour Note.
The song of everyone, the melody of dreams! Pretty Cure! Symphonic Concert! (みんなの歌、夢のメロディー！プリキュア！シシンフォニックハートビート！Min'na no uta, yume no merodī! Purikyua! Shinfonikkukonsāto!, Singing for all, our concert of dreams! Glitter Force! Symphonic Concert! in GF): The same thing as Harmonic concert, but with Cure Chorus in the mix. Her voice makes the cluster much bigger and the attack that much more effective.
Preform! The melody of earth! Pretty Cure! Big Dream Orchestra! (プリフォーム！地球のメロディー！プリキュア！ビッグドリームオーケストラ！Purifōmu! Chikyū no merodī! Purikyua! Biggudorīmuōkesutora! Preform! The Melody of Dreams! Glitter Force! Happiness Symphony!): The cures use Onpu's power to summon the Harmony Mirror (ハーモニーミラー, Hāmonīmirā, Symphony Mirror in GF), transforming into their Ultra Harmony forms. Then, they play their instruments whilst soaring in the sky, looping and twirling to make a giant g-clef appear from their sky trails. The cures then appear behind the clef, say the attack, and thrust out their wands, shooting out the clef and purifing stronger enemies once it hits them.
