In summary, this image is beautiful. In particular, I like the overall composition, which cleverly incorporates contrasting elements:
- Generally "light" part on the left and "dark" part on the right (with colours and shadows preventing either side from becoming too homogenous)
- "Movement" on the left (nice usage of long exposure for the flowing water, by the way) and "static" part on the right
In my opinion, the position of objects in the frame and the choice of perspective also create neat transition from far to near βplanesβ. From distant, somewhat hazy area in the top left part of the frame to the vibrant, in-focus, brightly-lit portion in the bottom right.
I feel the small diagonal green vine (? ) in the top center of the frame a little distracting though, and the image may be even better with more colourful cluster of fall leaves or plants at the bottom right. Having said that, with nature photography itβs not possible to control all elements in the frame, and the image is great as is.
