In many ways, as a modern human being I am so removed form my connection to the natural world. When I think about having to survive in the wild, it makes me realize just how incredible difficult that would be. In these moments of contemplation I often feel like a delicate organism that is at the mercy of nature, capable of being crushed with ease by its might hand. I feel grateful for not having to survive in the wild, but I do wonder if I as a modern human have growth too soft and too delicate. I wonder how this disconnect with the natural world will contribute to the human evolution.
