Back in the 80s I'd conceived of a superteam called M5 (Mutants Five). A Fantastic Four/X-Men combo of teens/twentysomethings (back when I was twentysomething :-D ) The youngest member was twelve year old "Mighty Mite". He was supposed to be as strong as Superboy (Pre-Crisis). So I wanted to create a female "Hulk" adversary... and came up with "Bruta" (NOT one of my better names). This didn't just involve transformation but age progression as well as "Fugly" metamorphosis. The girl is supposed to be 11-12 years. I didn't give her a name at the time, so I'll call her Hayley.

Unknown to eleven year old Hayley Conner, she had been secretly bonded to BRUTA, one of Darkseid's Female Furies. Her transformation is triggered once she has gained the friendship and confidence of Michael Mitchell Mckrenna... "Mighty Mite" of the Mutants Five.
