Good god I hate this show, its like Flap jack and spunge bob had a creepy love child so full of bright colorfull images that are just a mask to hide awful self aware writing and bad cheep humor, it makes you sick to your stomach to think how bad networks like Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network have degenerated themselfs too keep afloat XP
I honestly do not envy this generations kids, alot of the stuff they're growing up with is just awful, im not saying my generations cartoons were perfect or golden era stuff but at least we had shows like Animaniac's, the Batman Animated series, Tiny Toons, Ren & Stimpy, Thundercat's, Pinky & the Brain just to name a few. If I have kids some day then you can bet your ass ill make sure the grow up watching Looney toons and learn from real time tested humor ^_^

Chowders okay, to me it feels more like the Cartoon cartoon's of the mid 90's like Johnny Bravo, Dexters labritory, Cow & chicken, ect plus its staitionary color backdrop, interesting Segways, and non-animated moments give it some unique charm, its also funny in a self aware way that isnt as ham handed as other shows so it works for it but sometimes it can be hit or miss and characters can get annoying like when ever Chowder starts talking like a black chick with aditude but its nothing compared to hearing flapjack Laughing while he flails his arms and his face just goes apeshit crazy which I can only described as someone recording a man reaking leaves on a chalkboard Lawn while the animator suffers a seasure while he draws it!!!.
For me Chowders an okay show, its unique enough to be interesting and at times funny but its far from perfect, the only other Show that looks good is Batman: the brave and the bold since I like how it pays homage to the 60's style of batman while still "trying" to be serious, theres even this one awsome episode that directly parodys the Daffy Duck Cartoon "Duck Tracy", I nearly piss my pants at how funny it was XD.

I think it's cuz back then people actually cared about quality... now it's just to make money by appealing to masses, whether it's (very cheap-looking) 3D stuff or random stupid-type humor.

I whole heartdly agree with that though nobody just says "who cares just make something and sell it" so in they're minds what they made is what they think is good which is REALLY sad, back in the day people knew how to write comedy and it showed well and true but saddly appealing to the masses with Random humor or low budget 3D only hurts the industry they make money off of, honestly I dont know whether to laugh or cry?

The saddest part is probably Disney's Phineas and Ferb show. I love that show; it's the best cartoon on TV nowadays in my opinion. It pretty much screams old school with a touch of now to me. Now I've been too busy to watch it regularly these past few weeks, but I saw a preview for a new episode today... it used cheap 3D animation with the 2D traditional. That episode looked like krap and made me wonder if they were going to do that from now on. @_@

I personally think that companies see kids shows as less profitable since kids are preoccupied by videogames and the internet (which actually has alot of shows with better writing). How that transitioned to "let's release what looks entertaining, instead of how it's written," I'm not sure.

Haha! Awesome! I liked this short even before it was cool.
Although I have a feeling that the hype itself is going to set it's own bar of expectations too high for the casual viewer and that there's going to be a lot of kids watching this after it premiers that go "I don't get it."
I absolutely LOVED the surreal humor of this short, but honestly I found the animation and character design to be a little generic.
I personally love this and think Adventure Time is going to be a great show, but I worry about the ridiculous hype ruining it in the minds of casual cartoon network viewers.
It's a proven fact that whenver anything is hyped talked about by everyone, no matter if it's great or not, there's going to pop up a group of people who are going to be against it JUST because they think it's overhyped, and will call it trash and bash in on the internet.
I'm afraid that after this show debuts that CN has been hyping for months, some are going to turn against it and call it stupid garbage.
Though, honestly, with the caliber of Cartoon Network's shows today, i'd gladly take this over Chowder, Flapjack and Destroy Build Destroy any day of the week, month, and year.
