That's all fine! I like Thomas Edison just fine too, but, yes, he distilled and borrowed all kinds of knowledge and turned it into practical, usable inventions. By his own admission, he wasn't a genius. Not like Tesla. Built4ever borrows and transforms ideas all the time too. Have fun.

The real beauty of this piece comes from the combination of a highly detailed and precise concept melded with a rough, sketchy style. It looks like a victorian era, desktop sized piece of parchment that one would find in the study of a rich European adventurer eager to pursue scientific passions in the most remote regions of the planet.

Good, I like that! Sometimes other people are better at inventing the storyline for stuff I draw. But 19th century-early 20th century architectural drawing and travel watercolors were very important as a source of inspiration for me early on. I want that "look" for the drawings. Always drawn by hand. Use the computer later.

I love it! I have some characters who could inhabit just such a place!

This is really cool! I'd like to visit a place like this I always really enjoy all the little details and thought you put into these (especially the bow roof style, the wrap around decking, the lanterns, and the stacked height of it)-- your concept stuff is always wonderful.
