the port hole is really sketchy looking at this point.. my eyes got really tired. its my latest WIP - following is the story behind it.my friend went to school to be a vet tech/assistant/something or other.
he had lab one day, part of the lab was: a cow with a port hole in its side, and that the class would be inserting their hand in to the side of this living creature to feel its organs/etc.
the idea that the animal was still alive really bothers me. i understand that students need hands on training, but there is no reason to punch a hole in the side of the cow and put a door on it just so that students can stick their hand inside a cow to feel it breathing.. this and other things that i have encountered recently have made me want to try and use my art for advocating in some way the changes that are needed when it comes to how we treat animals. agree or not; no one wants a hole punched in their side..

I've seen those too. It's unnecessary. People doctors don't learn by putting their hands inside a living person like that. This procedure actually was invented so that feed companies could study how their brand of feed was digesting in the cow's stomach. It's got nothing to do with helping them.
