Description
“I have a offer to make with you. One that will most definitely be worth your while,” the male began with his smugly light tone, brandishing his cigarette.Mads didn’t say anything, merely kept her leer at him and crossed her arms. She leaned against the wall and waited for him to just get to the point and let her go home when he finished. Honestly, she really couldn’t care less what he said to her; he could offer her a whole butt load of money and she still wouldn’t give a damn. Despite her being in hard times, she would never get help from the likes of him. Now that she really thought about it, she didn’t have to listen to a thing he said. She could just leave at anytime, and with him taking his sweet time with his death stick, she would most likely take up that ideas offer. Most definitely better than whatever he had to say.
As though he figured out exactly her plan, he immediately began speaking up again just as her foot— which was previously crossed over her other one— uncrossed and flattened to the floor and she was beginning to hoist herself up and just walk off.
“My men and I were planning on infiltrating a high class party taking place in the following couple nights. The host is someone with a high status and an abundance of money, but despite this, he promised that he would donate to charity and yet hasn’t done so at all. I’m here to remind him to keep his promises. But…… *Sigh*” he then massaged the bridge of his nose, frustration obvious in his current mood. This piqued her interest, and partially gave her a thrill of satisfaction at the reason for this change of behavior. He blankly deadpanned at the sudden smirk pulling at her lips, and he sighed again,
“I require assistance to do so…… or…”
“You need help? Awwwww, what? The big bad gangster can’t intimidate a privileged pompous prick?”
He blinked in surprise at her language, not expecting it in the least, but was quick to regain his composure with a scowl.
“No, I most certainly can. It’s just he and I have met before and I need another in if this plan is going to pan out successfully.” He explained defensively, but the smug smile she continued to hold was an indication of her disbelief. His scowl deepened, and he added on to his statement,
“And in addition to that, he just so happened to have a thing for poodles. You’re the most convenient choice at the moment.”
And just like that, her sense of triumph had melted away and she paused in place, leaving her to stare in a blank deer-in-headlights way at him and he just stared back a bit weirded out at her new disposition and was left only questioning what was in her head at that moment.
