Description     1– That next early morning, Mads was laying on her back limply and staring up at the ceiling oddly. She had just woken up from the strangest dream of her life—well… maybe not the strangest dream in her life— she’s had some pretty bizarre ones and knew she would continue to have them— but it was certainly up there.

2– Her mind filled with the images of her Robin Hood/ Hopkins hero self all dressed up in a dark agent tuxedo with her blue Little John companion and bow and arrow. She was just giving a heroic speech about saving the orphans of a drowning sky orphanage when she recalled (out and in dream) specifically seeing them not at all in any trouble and just having a swimming contest, and then some bioluminescent pink wings proofed onto her back before she sprang into the jarring dream sky of pink and icky purple blue. She really couldn’t stand that particular color or even the color the sky turned when it hit dawn blue time. She just wanted to cry, scream, rage, anything really passionate and anguishing.… ah… So it’s one of those particular mornings.

3- She continued staring at the ceiling with a critical eye, slightly wanting to blame it for how icky this morning was starting out so far. And she had to go to work too… … extra icky. She actually wanted to go back to sleep and dream an even better dream to start her day on. Not that it’s turned out that way before, always coming up empty with dreams that filled her head during sleep that carried acky feelings into her present reality. She remembered seeing several 5’s yesterday in great succession, never in the same place. 5 5 5 5… and finally 55. That meant something good didn’t it? She certainly felt good at that time she saw them—
4- Her heart leaped from her chest as she heard her phone double buzz in a notification. She had it set for one person in particular, her eyes widened in surprise, and she felt her chest and stomach swell with anxious butterflies and brittle fear.

5– She spurred up into a sit and looked at her phone quickly, though with great apprehension.

The message appeared on her home screen of pastel yellow and pink bubbles, and her eyes scanned the message in a flash before her mind went blank at its contents.

    Don’t come to work!!
    …

…. Well, a party must have been scheduled that particular day then. Her boss usually never had her work days with important celebrations or events on account of her ‘incurable’ clumsiness.

… Okay, she knew she was a bit of an airhead, but to say she was incurable of mistakes- well, who could really be incurable of mistakes? Wait, that wasn’t her point—
