Yeah, 64 bit would be awesome
What do you use to make themes in Windows 7 now?

Awesome, thanks. Too bad Restorator costs a chunk of change... and I'm not the type of person to download it illegally.

Looks nice!
I think you should make it compatible with Windows 7 x64 edition because recent processors nowadays are made in 64-bit.

After using this for a day or two, I could no longer log in, similar to Zaxy. I diagnosed the problem, and it seems to be that something in your theme causes winlogon.exe to crash when it loads uxtheme.dll and tells it to load the file. I don't know what file in the theme is causing the issue, but I hope this helps future issues.
(all i did to fix was to log in as safe mode, change "C:\windows\resources\themes\dark clear 7" to "_dark clear 7" or something, relog in normal mode, and change the theme to something more secure, say Dynamic Black.)

Yeah?well, I don't know whether it's come from my skin or what. But since I used it I never got the similar problem as you..sorry

It is from your skin, which is really unfortunate, cause you made a really nice theme... What's your build of Windows 7?
I'm running 7100, if you have anything later it could be a change in winlogon.exe

I'm using Win7 Home Premium 32-bit..not the RC one..

uhh186 In reply to caeszer [2010-01-12 00:26:28 +0000 UTC]
Yeah see, there must be something different in the RC version that winlogon doesn't like about this theme. Ok, well, atleast now we know what the issue is

Nice Theme!
Gonna try it
Btw, what font do you use for "DARKCLEAR" in your preview image? I want it

caeszer In reply to uhh186 [2010-01-10 10:52:02 +0000 UTC]
that's just segoi ui..thanks mate

uhh186 In reply to caeszer [2010-01-10 16:40:11 +0000 UTC]
The font on the bottom of the preview image that says "DarkClear 7" isn't Segoi UI, segoi is too plain and that's an awesome font.
Anyway, I really like the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons of this theme. I've always liked the theme itself a bit darker, but this is nice. Good work!

hmmm...thanks man.....but you have it in theme style right??...am a noob yaar....can you tell me how to do tat??..or gimme the resources files man...i mean the png files...
π: 0 β©: 1
caeszer In reply to brvnbld [2010-01-07 15:27:52 +0000 UTC]
You need 'Restorator' or 'Resource Tuner' to extract the PNG/bmp files from msstyle. Since you're using skin studio to making wba skin, it's possible to extract it directly. After you extract it, you must edit it first because the resources you need are totally different from the commonly you've found in window blinds.
