Description

Addendum: This climate map is inaccurate and was based on a misunderstanding of how ocean currents work and how an increase in average temperature affects climate patterns. Do not use this as a climate template or guide for your fictional worlds.

Dynamene is a warm wet planet, with an average temperature of 25 degrees celcius, meaning that it has no polar ice.

It is the imperial planet, housing the emperor and their council, as the center of control within the 29 colony worlds.

On the shores of this planet are The Lighthouses, kilometer tall towers, constructed from black obsidian, that illuminate stormy inky seas for miles upon miles.

The iron sands and volcanic rock that make up much of the land are mined to manufacture the harrier ships, that the empire weaves through dark energy threads to reach out its hand towards the colony worlds.

The planet is the only colony world that's home to multicellular indigenous life. These include parasitic plants that latch onto animals, feeding off their nutrients, and releasing spores. There are forests of coral willow, trees with a single head fanning outwards into fractals, with vines hanging underneath. In the swamps and forests in the upper latitudes is the woolly heavy foot, a slow bipedal long necked herbivore, the largest land animal on Dynamene.

On the forest floor is the lithohog, a radially symmetric seven legged animal. Occupying the air are small aeroflagellates, relatives of the lithohog that fly using a single wing like flagellum, that spins like a helicopter rotor. The seas are home to lobster fish, which can sometimes reach the size of a whale.

It is a mysterious and secretive world, where the colony worlds first ended the Dark Era. But as time marches on, the power of the empire wanes, and the colonies seem set on entering yet another eon of darkness.......
