Chapter 01 "More Bullets, Less Blood"

"GEARS OF PEACE"

By 2066, the once exploding 9 billion population on Earth was quickly reduced by one third.

There weren't any alien invasions, nor great natural disasters or comet impacts... End of Days never came, nothing came to destroy the planet or wipe out the human race, it was all done by themselves...

Ironically, Armageddon has became a best wish of the many who suffered from the prolonged agony created and sustained by the few, many prayed for a judgment day, a second chance, anything but the way things are.

The human race struggles on with resources running scarce and severely controlled, alternative energy and food supplies were once considered salvation, but inhibited by those in power for obvious reasons. With less populated on the planet, one would expected equality and harmony, but power corrupts regardless circumstances, hunger and disease remain the plagues humanity must continue to suffer, for the sins of those who rule.

Battles for natural resources and the control of them drove nations and tribes to endless and reckless arm race. The nuclear war propaganda was finally declared imposable, as it is pointless to rule when there is no one and nothing left to rule. All nuclear war heads were disarmed voluntarily, the technologies and facilities were subsequently adapted for the development of next generation military solutions.

*(for the less-privileged majority of population, they were reduced to tribal settlements and subjected to tribal rules, no intervention will be made unless the conflicts among tribes affect the supply chain of the privileged societies)

With ground wars escalated, casualty of human soldiers was unprecedented and became "humanly" unacceptable, as the world is running out of fighters, and can no longer afford losing more labors and farmers, resorted to the establishment of the first Human led Robotic Armies: GEARS of PEACE, which by no means was created for peace, merely less blood in the mud, a measure to minimize human casualty with the game called war rages on.
