Beautiful colors and composition! Fantastic, as always!! Is there a better time to shoot the Milky Way? You seem to be able to get a lot more of it than I have, should I wait til late night, early morning, is it lower on the horizon then? Thanks Greg!

Thank you so much Leasha The main reason I get the central bulge of the Milky Way (top right of this pic) more than you, is geography. For me in the southern hemisphere the central bulge rises on the Eastern horizon, passes straight overhead and then sets in the west. So I can shoot it for a good 9 or 10 months of the year. Because you are further north it is always going to be generally just towards the south. The best way to work out when and where the "crowd pleaser" is visible for your skies, is to look at an online sky may like this one [link] . Enter your location adjust the date and time to see what constellations are in your skies at any given time. The central bulge of the milky way is around the constellation of Sagittarius and Scorpius. Hope this helps.

You managed to find Aurora? That's awesome, you've been chasing it a while! Amazing looking shot with so many different sources of light... What area of Southern NSW did you manage to see that if you don't mind? I never imagined we could see it from anywhere in NSW. But if I can drive a couple hours south to have a look I would for sure. Great job.

Thank you very much Grant Finally got a glimpse! I shot this from just south of Wagga. It takes a very big solar storm to reach up into NSW. Lucky enough to have it for two nights. This was taken on the second night. Have more pics to show from both nights.
