i think it's because they were really good friends and would help each other a lot (like i think leafpaw helped mothwing when riverclan got sick once?) and they would tell each other their insecurities and console in one another (like mothwing with her fear of hawkfrost and her disbelief in starclan) :0

What brushes do you use?

just the regular pen brush usually! + sometimes the watercolour brush for shading :>
and for the bushes, i used a "foliage" brush that my program provided!Β

i don't like the ship because they're lesbians, but because they're cute well developed and overall good
i like the picture because it gives off a nice vibe, from the expressions, to the poses, the shading, and the lighting too
i think liking things just because they're gay is really stupid

yeah i know what you mean! they had some really nice interactions in the books and seemed to genuinely care for each other + it would be fun to think about how things would turn out if leafpool fell for mothwing instead of crowfeather :')
and yeah liking a ship for the sole purpose of "they're gay" is kind of ehhh and a lot of the time points towards fetishizing same sex couples, which is not okay. like for sure it's a really nice part of the ship (because it brings in a different narrative than your regular straight couple + more offers representation!) and it's okay to be excited about that, but i understand where you're getting at

i know someone before me pointed this out, but i think they just meant that they liked the ship because of the development and not solely because they're lesbians - that part is just a nice bonus!
the way they worded it may came off a little funny, but i really don't think they meant any malice or meant to be homophobic! I think that she/he meant that she/he didnΒ΄t like it BECAUSE it being a same sex relationship.... she/he liked it for the development of they had on the story (like the times they spent together and stuff).... Thou this friendly relationship may be the one that made others ship it at first
So overall she/he does like the ship but not for the idea of them being gay/lesbian....

How the hell is it offensive? I complimented the ship and the art
and I just stated my opinion on the matter. I was just saying
