Description
...Aww Jake's shown in this tutorial. Didn't realize it until now. At least he'll help showing you how to draw fur.As promised part 2 of the tutorial.
Part 1 can be found here: Detailed Hair part 1 !!!
I decided I won't make any more tutorials in the (near) future, unless someone pays me to make them.
I have no in-comings, and I spent many hours in creating this. I really love to help you guys, but c'mon
And people take it for granted I create these things. My eye tutorial got almost 3000 downloads while it has a little more than 1000 faves. That's not fair.
Okay, end of drama. I'm just a little upset at the moment.
Hope you'll enjoy this tutorial.

Great tuts! Even though this is coming from a non-drawer, I would buy the book for my drawer-friend.

Life's not fair. I put hours into all my work and hardly anybody appreciates it. I'm lucky if I have something that gets 30 favorites, so if I were you, I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I think you're awesome and all, but you're pretty well-liked on this site. It just kind of urks me when somebody who is really well-known complains about favorites and downloads when there are people who are really good but never get any recognition. I truly hope you don't take that statement in the wrong way. That being said, as far as income from this site goes, I wouldn't count on it. I have no income either, but a good solution would be to work. People normally get paid for that. xD

oh I don't take it the wrong way, really I understand what you mean, and you're so right. There's lots of amazing talent around here which doesn't get the recognition as what it deserves.
As for this, I checked my dA messages this morning and the only thing I could say way... well actually... I was speechless, because I never got so many favourites on a tutorial before
I still would love to help new artists with stuff like this, but since I don't have a job because of my extremely weak health, I think the only good way to make good money is buy selling my tutorials/artbooks instead of publishing them for free, you know?

Yeah, I know. You can make some serious money off of your drawings...I get offers of $50 and above just for my little doodles. I can't believe people would buy my crap, but I won't complain about it. You're really lucky. When I ask for favorites people ask me what my problem is. >.<

Just wanted to voice my thanks/appreciation/etc for all your tutorials. Most of my problems are with drawing hair (of any kind), so to have such fantastic tutorials with great details like these, is just fantastic.
I'm sorry if you feel they're not as appreciated as they should be... Maybe my uber-appreciation and greatfulness will make up for it a little
*hugs*

I'm actually thrilled to hear that you're considering making a book! Be sure to announce when it'll be released, because I'll buy it in a heartbeat. No need to be a starving artist!
Just make sure some copies are available online for your fans across the sea. You do wonderful work and your tutorials are quite helpful.

great tut! once again your methods seem to be the same as mine LOL! the only diff is at the end of drawing the hair/ fur I get a very very light pencil like 4H and do random lines in the hair flow direction which gives even more randomness whilst still looking fairly natural. PS I think the fur on the dog looked great!

It's always very interesting to read through your tutorials, I feel more educated after that, but since I've got no talent for drawing at all (shaky hands, extreme lazyness and so on) I'm negative about putting it into use anytime soon.
Nonetheless I'm enjoying to see these since so I'm more able to retrace your way of creating your art.
If I compare your tutorials to other drawing-tutorial-books I've seen so far I can say truthfully, that these are much better than a lot of stuff that is sold in book form.
So I'd say just try putting you're stuff in a book, it's worth it.
^_^

The 1st part of the tutorial was so well done, and this is like... the cherry on the top of the cake! Thank you so much for your effort and for sharing this! It's sad you don't get the feedback you deserve, I'm sure a lot of people will find this tutorial (and your other ones too) very useful, but some of them may not stop to think how hard it must be to make something like you did.

Well, I personally appreciate your effort greatly. And I'm sure those who downloaded it, do it too, it doesn't really matter if they show it or not. It's nice if they do but yeah... *sucks at comforting people*
I have to admit that I haven't faved all the tutorials which helped me a lot when I was still getting started with realism but I did appreciate them a lot and now when anyone asks me how to do something, I always give links to those tutorials. I try to spread the word, so to say.
I think the tuts you've already made cover most of the important stuff about drawing anyway so you might as well take a looooong pause from it all and relax. You deserve it!
I've always wanted to know how on earth can you find time to make those awesome tuts and drawings and still have time for your personal life. It amazes me. When I grow up, I want to be just like you!

The best tutorial ever.
Your tutorials are simply amazing, I'm really going to learn a lot from you.
And I agree that it's unfair for you not to get anything, because really, I find it better than any other book that teaches you how to draw.
I wish I could give you some money.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! Especially for the inclusion of different types of hair. People often fail to recognise that there is a difference when drawing human hair to animal fur to feather strokes. It's brilliant that you posted up the different techniques to draw them as such.
I can't draw people or animals with the still life shading I use. Fabric and materials are a lot easier to draw that human hair so I'll be able to get human hair down quite nicely with this tutorial! I've been looking for a good one so i can start drawing humans but I can't find any as detailed as this. Thanks for this! It'll be a great help to me in the future!!
