At least, here's the first part of the tutorial I've been working on.This part explains about how to sketch and draw the concept pic, scan, and clean for CGing later.
Thanks to Nami, who tested the tutorial (I was a little worried since it's the first one I do
)I'm now finishing the 2nd part, wich is about the digital coloring.
Well, hope it helps.
NOTE: If you don't want to sketch with colored pencils, you can as well do it with normal ones, then scan and turn the sketch lines into color in photoshop (image > adjust > channel mixer > constant to the max. Then you can further adjust colors with image > adjust > hue/saturation). Then print it, and continue the process.---------------------------

This is very helpful I am trying to learn photoshop. I use Flash and Paint shop pro 7. Thank you for posting this. ^_^

Well, the 2nd part, wich relates to coloring, is done in Corel Painter. I( think some things may be applied in other programs thoug. But I think you could try Painter too. I think it may like you.

Yeah, yeah, yeah! I've been waiting for this all the time since you mentioned you were working on this! Umm... guess it's gonna have to wait. I damaged my left hand, and my right hand it's starting to hurt by overuse. I can keep with painting (with the tablet) but anything with the mouse has to wait. It hurts my wasted hand too much, and I can't afford not being able to use the right hand... Sorry

Yes, of course! I really understand that very well... After a holiday break the first days were horrible when I didn't use my hand for writing and had to write so much at school. So, try to cure it, but don't hurry it, I would be very sad if you wouldn't be able to draw ever again! *panic* oO

Wait wait wait. So this alone is part 1?.. Dude, if you're this thourough (sorry, killed that word with spelling) with this, then the next part(s?) should be excellent. We need more of these detailed tutorials that actually show how to do things properly and cleanly. Nicely done. it's obvious you put time and effort into this. Can't wait to see the next one. Now you've got me wanting to stop sketching in pencil..it's certainly make things so much easier on me.. my skecthes are so rough, I have to make copy of it, then retrace it just to get the clean sketch, then transfer it over the real paper. Making a skecth in colored pencil/what have you would be easier, as you proved.
.. and for some reason, I am fasinated with your photoshop that's not in English. I spent much longer then I should have figuring out what meant what just for kicks. XD; *weird*
(by the way, just to gloat, That project I told you about, the one where I have to draw, is turning out pretty amazing. I am happy.

Yeah, to sketch with a colored pencil is useful XDD But sometimes it's also good to sketch with pencil, turn it to color in the computer, and then, mark the lines. Colored pencils tend to be greasy. That depends on the amount of time aviable you have XDDDD
I'm almost finished with the second part. Maybe I'll finish it now, before I start working on more class stuff XDDD
XDDDDDDDDD It's spanish, of course. Though my Painter is in english XDD I noticed it while puting all toghether, but thoguh it doesn't matters much XDD Did you figured out the words? XDD hahaha

I didn't figure them out exactly, but after realizing how mine is put out, and then using the images and just guessing (I failed at Spanish. I was horrible at it, and it didn't help my teacher was just as bad as I was), I kinda figured out which is which. And now I'm pretty proud of myself for that. XDD;
I don't know if I'm gonna get it back though.. shoot. I did get a really good grade on it though, and the teacher was in love with it. So that's good. I can maybe take a picture, but.. i dunno. I'd probably be neyyer taking the raw sketch and recoloring it. I had to rush through the final one to hand in so.. it's kinda.. bad. Oh well. XD;

ah you know what I think of this! lol it's really great celsa, Very useful lol I've been telling my friends about the technique and they were all really shocked cause none of us had thought of it! it's really great. And you put the tutorial together great too ^^ can't wait to see the rest of it!

I though on something like that some time ago, and later I learned in class that's truly used in pro drawing. Thay teached us to do it properly. It's relly a time-saver XDDD
