Description
This is my first really elaborate tutorial. Here, I show how different tyles of hair strands are shaded based on what shape they are. It breaks hair down into basic forms, which I haven't really seen anywhere on DeviantArt. This was made with anime/manga hair in mind but it can apply to anything with a similar shape like grass.

Disclaimer: This is only what I've learned and observed. This is not the end-all tutorial. This one just gets at the basics so that you can apply this logic to other formes. Soon I will try working on an anime background tutorial that I've been struggling on completing as I don't even understand it all myself yet and have no place to learn so it's just observation and guesses.

I tend to think too much about things like what the background would be. But I was like "as long as they understand it."
