i love eyes too. Its true, sunglasses block out the real person and its hard to actually see who they are without seeing their eyes.

God, this is really good.... I draw a lot in black and white, so something like this is just so beautiful to me...

Love the detail, I hope one day IΒ΄ll learn to draw the veins in the eyes as well as you do... My drawings still lack some detail to make it as perfect as yours

thank you, the best way to improve is to practice. If you do that eye again i can guarantee it will be better than your last one.

That was wonderful, thank you so much for sharing! My brother said "whoa!" when he walked into my room and saw eyes drawn all over the page of my sketchbook. This was extremely helpful!

thank you. Glad it was helpful and you got great results. the same techniques used for that drawing can be used for anything else. Just study what you are going to draw so you know what detail to add.

this is great!
but there's some things I didn't understand very well =/

what makes diferents a "progresso pencil" and a"mechanical pencil" from anormal pencil , I mean I use the blue pencils from staedtler to draw (xD)

also I didn't understand very well the part of the W's

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

chandito In reply to kaleidoscopic-mind [2008-12-05 04:16:29 +0000 UTC]

thank you so much. Well progresso pencils are basically pure graphite, so they are great for adding dark areas. If you get one i recommend you get a 6b, which is the darkest. I use mechanical pencils for fine detail since the point if very fine. Wooden pencil is use for adding different values, for example 3h for light skin tones and things that are light. I mentioned the 'W' because of its shape. Each line that makes up the 'W' will be made with the kneaded eraser or pencil, depending if youre adding highlights or shadows. If you're still confused just contact me again.
