Description
This is a piece i was commisioned to do of Afro Samurai. I really had fun choosing the colors, to give it that nighttime kinda feel.Hope you enjoy it Evan!

Everything is now edited. I changed the entire position of the blade, which i felt like helped the overall image. Added some bling, a ring and earrings and a chain, the charm is the symbol on the Hagakure Book.

yeah, ive got it corrected on the big version, just need to rerender the lines and the angle of the blade. gonna have it run off the edge. i got the point across without showing the tip.

I don't know why you don't color more of your pieces. Colors look sick as hell.
And the hand holding the sword doesn't look like it's gripping the handle.

The limited color scheme gives it a really cool graphic quality, and the contrast in rendering does a great job at establishing a focal point. Definitely loving this; just fix the perspective on the sword a bit...it's just not working. I think it has to do with the size of the handle and the blade itself.

good looking out. im gonna have a few versions tho, a more desaturated version, kinda like those scenes in the show. i just like the way this one looked while i was goin at it, so i stayed on that path. i always had plans of this not being the final look

This is fantastic! I really like seeing the paint strokes. The detail is only implied in areas, but tight where it counts. Very nice.

Yeah, that's what I've always loved about Frazetta too. He doesn't get bogged down with detail, instead focusing on the gesture and motion of the moment.
