I was always the little kid who would absolutely bawl whenever I accidentally let go of my balloons after a party. I couldn't stand the thought of them floating off into the sky without me. My parents would always console me, telling me that they were free now, and that we should be happy for them.Whenever I see a stray balloon bobbing along high above, I can't help but smile. I hoped to capture both feelings in this picture. Both the distress and sadness of seeing them leave, but also the sheer joy in being airborne.

Very nice! I love how the grass, model, and sky are desaturated, and then the balloons are full of color. I think that adds to the theme of how only the balloons seem important when they're floating away.
I like the way it's composed, too, with the balloons in the top right corner of the frame, showing how they're going away.

A very wonderful concept. I used to do that too. I'd be so upset when I accidentally let go of my balloons, that I'd go have a funeral for them. This image brings back a lot of happy memories.
