If I would have to say in one word what I like so much about anime, I would answer "beauty" or "variety".

No further comment on that? It "keeps the magic", and every reader can, while looking at the fanart, find an own interepretation which is maybe even the same that I myself got.

...But I will babble a bit more about the picture:

1) Batou is not frowning at Jamapi! This is supposed to be his normal facial expression.

2 ) Jamapi seems to like Batou.

3) Is the correct version Jamapi or Jama P?

4 ) the big boy is from the dark SF story "Ghost in the shell", that little yellow thing is the mascot of the fluffy colourful magical girl series "Wedding Peach". Wedding Peach was brought a little while after Sailor Moon to Germany, at first on video but then also on TV. The people behind this maybe hoped to get some pieces from all of the success Sailor Moon had ( that was probably *the* series which started the manga & anime boom in Germany ). In retrospective I would say for my taste WP couldn't reach the quality of Sailor Moon. Some aspects I liked ( the yummy bad boys, the oldest of the four girls and the second opening.... and a few storytwists ) but not the series as a whole.

5 ) just a little while before I never thought I would draw Batou.

Jamapi's tail is normally black, not yellow. I allowed myself this artistic liberty because otherwise you couldn't make it out in all the blackness, the heart at the end would look like floating.
