Every so often, when I go to an anime con, they'll be some anime everyone's raving about so I'll check it out, and most likely I don't like it. LOL Like Bleach or Naruto for example. :nods: But once in a while, I do. LOL I actually heard about The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya because someone told me I should check out Lucky Star. And I did, and didn't find it very interesting. But I ended up finding this one which is also the rave right now I believe. LOL Anyways this is the title character, Haruhi Suzumiya.I'm sure I"ll hate this later, but what I really like about the show are the eyes, and I don't think I did that great a job drawing them. But that's probably because this draiwng is based on a figure I have of her and not another drawing (the figire isn't in the same pose though). I might draw more of these characters.
My eyes hurt... >.<

Well, Konata from Lucky Star is voiced by the same girl who voiced Haruhi, so their are many references to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in Lucky Star. They even made Kona a Haruhi fan on the 23-episode anime. I must agree though, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya turned out better. ^^

I love how Mikuru is always being teased by Haruhi and I love the dance Hare Hare yukai and sailor mottekefuku on lucky star their both so easy to do.I also agree with you on the whole Naruto thing at my school all the little 6th and 7th grade guys are still talking about it.It's been like two years now.

awww Haruhi looks really cool and cute like that but also why do I think she is rejecting something Kyon said XD anyway looks really well drawn how she is posed especially with expression and the colouring job and background are just as lovely too nice work and keep it up 
Melancholy of Haruhi is one of my biggest obcessions and currenly waiting for season 2 of the show, only thing I don't like about the show is that the airing of the episode order was not in chronological order >_<

Admittedly, I'm not a fan of this anime...
But you did an awesome job at portraying Haruhi here! I think the eyes look gorgeous - I think I prefer Haruhi in your style than the style of the actual program... You make her look younger and much cuter, and thus, more appealing.

Hmm... Bleach and Naruto really appeal to the male crowd more than the female. Naruto's english dubbing really is meant more for kids...
But enough of this! I haven't seen all the MoHS... hell I've barely seen 0 and 1. Still, I've got to admit that it does appeal to both the male and female crowds.
