Well folks, we're going a little outside the box on this one.I know I usually post tame, lovey-dovey cute stuff... But it wasn't always that way. There was a time where my stuff wasn't so tame, and recently, when I was art-blocked, Takai suggested I redraw an old picture. I asked her to pick one for me, and this is what she picked:
It felt good to push myself and step out of my comfort zone a little bit. It felt really good to take an old picture that I'm not proud of and try it again years later, and to make something that, despite being more NSFW than my typical drawing, I can feel proud of. I hope you all like it!
EDIT: I just want to point out and make damn sure this is understood (for those that are finding this without knowing the characters previously) that both of our characters are in their 30's! Please do not misinterpret this as shouta or underage stuff or any of the sort!

Sometimes it's good to poke out of your comfort zone. And really, this doesn't feel all that out of place among your works to me... (but then again I'm used to seeing far more NSFW stuff elsewhere so maybe I'm desensitized to a picture of an extra curvy Takai being embraced by you like this)

The domestic experience is reflected in racier material as much as the cute stuff, right? I love that there's an such an emotional core to this piece - it gives it weight and meaning that places it far above most other images that contain erotic themes.

While this is More NSFW than your other works, it still feels fitting. As this is an intimate moment between you and your one and only. Sure it may show off a lot more, but it shows a love that you and Takai Share, like all of your pics!

This may be a shock, but I have actually encouraged Chibi to share some more intimate images and situations. It seems shortly around the time we got engaged and later married, the sexual tone in his artwork greatly diminished. Probably since Chibi & Takai are so closely tied to our RL selves and situations. He certainly would not be comfortable with sharing me RL in such a way, after all. However, this is a part of our life and relationship and I enjoy giving a peek into that every now and again... I can totally understand the intrusion feeling, I just wanted to assure you that I am an active participant in sharing these things. Always happy to see your comments!

Art is MEANT to turn a few heads.
Expression is like that; sometimes you want to express something in a way others may not always approve of.
It's ok.
That said, your work is very tasteful. You have nothing to be ashamed of so long as your work is done for the sake of art (And let's face it, you're not a pervert. You're an artist).
Your work has grown a great deal over the years (no pun intended), and you should be proud of your developing style.
Keep practicing. keep learning, and be proud!

Oh wow. I love this. Particularly fond of the coloring, but I also like how you managed to make what could be a very aggressive and dominating scene seem tender and gentle with tweaks to body pose and facial expression. She's also gloriously, beautifully (and literally) overflowing with curves.

and it seems like today is just "beat art block" day. I'm doing stress relief arts and I know other artists seem to also be trying to push past art block.
