I made a little backstory for Catherine and Katie. They met in the army, left to become freelance mercenaries, and at some point became worst enemiesAlso yes, in the last panel Catherine is holding a gun in her right hand and could easily take Katie out. I think Catherine doesn't want to kill Katie in this fight and is just using the gun to block Katie's machete swings
