Description Handle Wrapping Technique: Level 2 (Cloth Tape)

Did you know the last time I uploaded the Handle Wrapping Level 1 tutorial that was from February 7?!! heh I even said I will soon upload the higher difficulties of handle wrapping soon. Well it took me long enough but I have all tutorials on handle wrapping done now. Talking about this one using cloth tape, it will take no more then 1 minutes which is easily the quickest way to wrap a sword if in some kind of rush lol

well it's surprisingly easy. I may have to do drawings because I still haven't figured out how to use the pictures I have. I have 52 on making a Sode.

That looks really good despite the fact you're not using ribbon, plus i guess with tape you don't have the problem of the ribbon slipping.

Another excellent tutorial, and i guess its better for you to take your time with the tutorials rather than rush them, otherwise they wouldn't be as good

the ribbon slipping, if the ribbon never ever slipped then tsukamaki would be a walk in the park lol it would be so easy XD if people have cloth tape then can use this method I guess ^^

ive not shown enough tutorials lately swords can wait again xd

I saw someone else ask, and I must say that embossed craft paper is amazing what it does for the esthtics of the sword handle! Nice tutorial btw. Your really good about making the steps clear and easy to follow--of course, that's easy for someone who knows how to wrap using ribbon to say...lol Seriously though, great tutorial. I'm sure it'll come in handy to lots of people. I wish I there'd have been one like this wehen I was first figuring out how to wrap handles. ^^

yeah but they still work and when you include the sword, handel, guard(tsuba), paint, and what not you could have a thrity/forty page deal.

chioky In reply to Izuko [2008-11-20 20:20:57 +0000 UTC]

good, though this is one of the easiest handle wrapping techniques lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Izuko In reply to chioky [2008-11-20 22:01:18 +0000 UTC]

I figured as much... mine has some kinda shoe lace looking stuff wrapped around it [link] and it looks hard to do x.x so I'll stick with this method for the sword i had made for me (I cheated >:3) and do the more complicated stuff with one I make myself...
And i need a rust stone D: it has rust on the blade for some reason....I pretty much had to fix it up when i bought it because the Kojira and the kashira fell off...and the subasa wouldnt stay in place x.x

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chioky In reply to Izuko [2008-11-20 22:30:10 +0000 UTC]

by all means the shoe lace stuff is the actual stuff you use, the problem is its very hard to come by lol

Izuko In reply to chioky [2008-11-20 23:54:22 +0000 UTC]

Well...my local footlocker sells extra thick shoe laces so i think i can use that...
