Description
On May 20th, 1994, the very first direct-to-video animated Disney sequel, THE RETURN OF JAFAR, was released to stores. Believe it or not, the film will be 20 years old this year. I'm uploading it now while it's still fresh on my mind. It's nowhere NEAR as good as the first movie (the third one, KING OF THIEVES, is the better sequel in my opinion), but I still have a soft spot for it. Some of the animation is a bit weird, and the plot could've been stronger, but it's decent enough. It's far better than the other DTV sequels Disney has released in the past.
The only reason I drew this is because for as long as I can remember, I would always try to draw the VHS cover for the film, and I would always fail. I think the VHS cover was so cool in the day and I still think it's impressive to look at, with it's intense colour scheme.

Aladdin II: The Cheapning. Aladdin II: The Pilot-ing. Aladding II: The Direct-to-Video-ing. I'm all out of Highlander II: The Quickening puns.

Well done, I love the purple lighting on Jafar. : D I love how he looms large on the cover and in the movie--despite the reduced budget they really convey how he's reached the height of his power, and he can do just about anything.

Very nice, and I'm glad that you made the character look all wacky as usual

I never found Return of Jafar to be the worst Disney sequel, heck I kind of like it. I find the worst ones are the ones that destroy the first movies characters like Fox and the Hound 2 and Hunchback 2

You forgot to include the word 'First' to that first sentence, no pun intended.
Although this was a direct to video affair, it was done by the same department who made the TV series, which is why you won't see anything as spectacular as the first film or even the third, where a bit more money was likely to have been spent on it as it was the last thing Aladdin related that they would do. Still it does it's job to bridge the first film with the TV series.

VERY nice work on this one! The lighting is great, and even in a different style, it still has an Aladdin vibe to it.

I remember liking the first one and even the third one to my surprise. The second one on the other hand I barely remember at all.
