Rogue Traders are privateers for the Imperium of Man. These venture capitalists trade and often times pillage in the name of the Emperor of Mankind. Warrants of Trade proclaim their right to explore the far reaches of the galaxy and sometimes these ancient documents have been signed by the Emperor Himself.

Traders come in all sorts, some sly and mischievous, others bloodthirsty and brutal, and some may simply be in the business of earning Sovereigns showing no quarrel with others. These great families pass down their Warrants and their monstrous inheritance down generations upon generations, each hoping to earn more wealth than the one before it. Some of the more successful families are endowed with great fortunes, and have oftentimes been presented with contingents of the Imperial Guard to serve aboard their massive vessels and even in some rare cases Space Marines.

Jean-Jacques Departeu is such a man, the latest in his line of Rogue Traders that prowl the Segmentum Obscurus. His ship, is as unique as his crew: Orks, Explorators of the Machine Cult, Imperial Guardsmen, Space Marines assigned on a mission, and as of recently, strange travellers speaking strange things. Departeu has always been of the curious sort, but even he has his suspicions.
