Chris the changeling is dreaming of being in the company of her friend Dg.Dg is not a true draconequus, he is actually a Baku.
He doesn't really have a personal name. He tends to think of himself with the name that the dreamer whose friend he is at that moment gives him, so now he call himself Dg.
Baku usually do not show themselves to dreamers, but Dg is different: he chooses a dreamer and becomes his or her friend, taking the form that most pleases that dreamer.
When Chris is not sleeping and therefore her dream is not present in the Dreamworld, Dg resumes his Baku aspect and travels among the dreams of other dreamers, secretly helping those who have nightmares or resting.
Among the millions of dreams that constantly occupy the Dreamworld, Dg has no difficulty in finding Chris's dream, as he left behind a tree, which works for him as a beacon.
Dg received the seed of the tree from a previous dreamer and friend of him.
He uses the seed to understand whether or not his presence will be appreciated by the dreamer he has chosen.
If the seed doesn't take root in the dream, Dg chooses another dreamer to befriend.
Before Chris, Dg was a friend and guardian for twelve other dreamers.
