This is a favorite environmental painting I did for my book, as part of the first half of chapter 10. The scene in question is in reference to Tevati, one of the last colonies built in the exodus era roughly 850 years ago. This isn't Tevati itself of course but instead one of it's sister moons, named Tesher.

Tesher is a smaller moon in the moon system, which is rich in rare earth metals. Because of this mining facilities like these are set up across the planet, and the moon's population of about 250 help extract minerals for refining and technology production. Thanks to this Tevati has become one of the more well off colonies, despite being among the youngest.
